Thanks Janet. Yeah I have a kindle too. Just mentioned the iPad as it was the device I was using to access NetGalley and send the emails to the kindle. Have tried everything. Logged out of NetGalley, cleared history and cache, tried on different machines but still the same so I'm stumped.
Will just have to wait on NetGalley now for a reply and hopefully it can be resolved.
I ordered a free book from Amazon to make sure it was being delivered to my kindle and it arrived straight away so it's definitely something at NetGalleys end.
Anyway I have plenty to read. Three quarters of the way through The Silent Twin which I got from NetGalley and thoroughly enjoying it. Just hate seeing a couple of books sitting there on my account that I can't access.
Hi Diane. Yeah I did. Checked them all. My kindle email address the NetGalley address on Amazon as well. The account has been working fine until today so I'm at a loss to explain it. Also in the type that just has to try and find what the problem is so it's driving me nuts! :)
Adrian, what happens if you go to say, kids books and send yourself a READ NOW?I did have three books a week or two ago that didn't come in until morning.
I chose a read now book after I realised the problem with my approved book but the same thing happened. Not even appearing on my Amazon account, never mind making it to the kindle.
I've had this happen and they usually show up eventually. Guess sometimes they just take that slow boat via China to get sent over. I'd just wait until tomorrow and check then, should be sent at that point.
I too have had this happen...and they have downloaded days later. Did you go into your activity tab on NG and see if they have downloaded?
Sandy *The world could end while I was reading and I would never notice* wrote: "I too have had this happen...and they have downloaded days later. Did you go into your activity tab on NG and see if they have downloaded?"Hi Sandy. Yeah they show as downloaded on NetGalley but aren't appearing on my Amazon docs list or kindle. Still no sign of them today. I emailed myself a book I had on the computer to the kindle address and that came through fine so it's an issue on my NetGalley page.
Have retried to download the titles a few times but no luck. I think there may be a problem with the links provided for some reason. When I click on the download to kindle link I would expect the page to refresh totally but it doesn't really do anything for a couple of seconds and then a message appears to say it has been emailed to my kindle. Even if I download the straight PDF on a computer it's not readable. Checked a couple of titles to make sure it wasn't a singular title issue.
I'll just sit tight now until next week when hopefully NetGalley will come back with a solution.
Sean wrote: "On my kindle fine."Thanks for the update Sean. Will give an update next week if and when I hear from NetGalley.
So just an update on my problem. Got the following reply from NetGalley a few minutes ago:Hi Adrian,
Thank you for reaching out and for your patience. We are aware of the Kindle delivery issue, which we have confirmed is on Amazon's end. We were informed that they are working on it, but it may take 1-2 business days for them to resolve the issue. We appreciate your understanding as this is outside of NetGalley's control. In the meantime, I suggest downloading the title to another device or app to at least get started reading, and to click the Send to Kindle button once again in a day or so.
All best,
Brianna
So it appears it's a problem at Amazons end. Not sure if it's just an issue with my account or is more widespread? Can anyone using the UK Amazon site confirm if they are having any issue with NetGalley deliveries.
Anyway I have taken their advice on the short term and downloaded the Aldiko app to my iPad and iPhone and the books I am having issues with do indeed download direct onto the devices and can be opened and read with this app so at least I have a choice.
Looks awful on the iPhone though, text is too small to comfortably read and can't find an option to adjust it. A lot better on the iPad so will use that at home for the time being until it's resolved.

Hey thanks for that. Will give it a try.
Jen wrote: "Mine are coming through fine Adrian. Not had any issues this end."Thanks Jen. I've sent Amazon an email about it too so hopefully it help things along.
Hey Sean--I really enjoyed Nomad. In my next life I want to be a white hat hacker. For now I'll just settle for ebook geek.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I may be one of the first Yanks to get ahold of it.
The Breakaway Amish has NEVER come down for the Kindle, it's been a month of trying once in a while. I finally wrote to them. It's about the notorious beard cutters (which I never heard of, for some reason. Maybe because I live in a cave.)

Thanks Stephanie. Yeah I'm delighted too. I'm so happy when I get an approval that I want to start reading it as soon as possible, so it was quite frustrating for me.
Speaking of waiting, what's the longest anyone has had a request pending? I requested a Karin Slaughter novel on May 26th and it's still pending.
I've got some pending which is unusual for me. I usually get approved fairly quickly. Been over a week. Not that it really matters I've only got a ridiculously large unsurmountable mountain of books to read. :\
Ha yeah I suppose Janet. I'm only about 20% into the first of two that I had problems downloading, I have at least 30 books unread on my Kindle and intend to get and read a copy of Stephen Kings latest, End Of Watch as soon as possible.
Adrian wrote: "Stephanie wrote: "Adrian, had the same thing with not being able to download a book to Kindle yesterday. Tried several times and looked for obvious issues. Got it tonight. :DGlad you were able to..."
Adrian, I waited about 4 months before being approved for a Lynwood Barclay book. The approval came about a week before the book was released--perhaps a way to make sure reviewers don't jump the gun.

Thanks Christine. Yeah I did think about that but remembered that I read here of others being approved for the same book.
Got approved for
a couple of weeks ago and yesterday received an email from the publisher asking to join a blog tour when the book is released! Excited, this will be the first time I participate in a blog tour. I hope I like the book!!
I know it's not a book acceptance but i'm ecited anyway! I just found that I got a second review featured. My review for My Girl by Jack Jordan was featured.
I got approval for The Stepmother by Claire Seeber. I love the cover, check it out. Sorry I can't link, using app right now.

Really, Daisy, Hat's off. Way to go!
@Megallion it feels great!@Christine I didn't expect to get anymore featured. It was a nice surprise.

I was refused that one, Wendy. Probably because I didn't love her previous book! Hope you enjoy it! :)
Sorry if this has been mentioned (but I doubt it!). I only have a Blackberry playbook as a tablet, but haven't been able to figure out a way to read my netgalley approvals on there. Am I just SOL? Thanks for any help!
Dana wrote: "Sorry if this has been mentioned (but I doubt it!). I only have a Blackberry playbook as a tablet, but haven't been able to figure out a way to read my netgalley approvals on there. Am I just SOL? ..."Hi Dana. Supposedly Netgalley supports all devices. Not sure what you have on your Blackberry......can you use Adobe? Best bet is probably to email them (they have FAQ's & contact info). They've been great about getting back to me when I had a question. Good luck!

I am not very good with technology so it's probably not that hard, but I will try Bluefire, thanks :)
Dana wrote: "I am not very good with technology so it's probably not that hard, but I will try Bluefire, thanks :)"Just download the app, and then go to NG, download the book to Bluefire (it should pop up as an option once the app is downloaded on your device of choice :) Hope this helps!
Janet wrote: "Got approval for Lying In Wait by Liz Nugent."Looks interesting. Have just sent a request for it. Trying to keep my shelf at a minimum so I'm not constantly playing catch up! Only two on it at the moment and I'm nearly half way through one of them.
That's disciplined, Adrian. I've got 16 on my shelf. *sigh*
I've just recently finished a couple and need to do reviews for them. All Is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker and In Too Deep by Samantha Hayes.
