Lynn Renee | 1706 comments I know it is funny how it works. The other day I was approved for a book only two hours after requesting it in the middle of the night. Other times, you can put in a request and a month later you get a response.

Just checked their Twitter. I think the announcement was that hey have a new author on board, but nothing about the new Robert Bryndza. They do say that The Girl In The Ice is #1 in the US, which is great!

Michele, NetGalley allows reviewers, book store owners, etc to get a preliminary copy of a book so that they'll review it. It features all major publishers, and books are authorized based on your requests and your profile - so if u have a good approval/feedback ratio and if you are from a country that the publisher thinks is a good target market, u are likely to be approved.

hope this helps?

Jean | 2382 comments After back-to-back denials for two of my favorite authors, Linda Castillo and Nevada Barr, I finally got back on track with approval for Dugoni's In the Clearing. I am about 30% of the way through Her Final Breath, so that's perfect!

I really like Dugongi's writing and his protagonist, Tracy Crosswhite. I, too, have all three books, but I need to buckle down on Her Final Breath. Dugoni is coming up for open discussion May 17th.
Later Little Jean.

I'm going to try to Linda Castillo. I just love her books. I'll probably get denied too.

Adrian Dooley (adox66) | 246 comments How many books do you guys keep on your shelf? Im new to all this and already feel guilty for having 3 sitting on my shelf waiting to be read, especially Angela Marsons latest as I have the second and third in the series still to read before getting to it!

My review on a book many of you have approved.

See How They Run by Tom Bale

Thank you to Net Galley, The Publishers and the author David Harrison(Tom Bale)for a ARC copy

How far would you go to save your family?

In the dead of night, new parents Alice and Harry French are plunged into their worst nightmare when they wake to find masked men in their bedroom. Men ruthless enough to threaten their baby daughter, Evie.

This is no burglary gone wrong.
The intruders know who they’re looking for – a man called Edward Renshaw.
And they are prepared to kill to get to him.

When the men leave empty handed, little do Alice and Harry realise that their nightmare is just beginning. Is it a case of mistaken identity? Who is Renshaw? And what is he hiding?

One thing is clear – they already know too much !!

Terrifying, rollercoaster of a ride full of twists and turns, this stunning and gripping thriller will have you on the edge of your seat right to the very last page!

A totally intense thriller, had me engrossed, I just had to keep reading, I just had to know what was going to happen, full of great characters, full of very nasty characters, full of shocks, chases, and action. A thriller of a ride!

Really enjoyed the catch, but this author is getting better and better.

A powerful five star book from me. A book I just could not put down.

Thanks again Net Galley.

Buy this book, it comes out in May 2016 !

Many thanks Diane! (I didn't know she would do that ~blush~). The book should come out around the year's end, I promise that anyone who reads, orders and reaches out will be a beta reader, for the pre edited version, should they want, so needn't wait too long.
Again - thanks Diane! x

After approval I've downloaded Death Do Us Part (DI Brook 6) by Steven Dunne. I've got some catching up to do with this series, read the first two and enjoyed.

I'm not going to request Linda Castillo's latest, I'm a few books behind in the series so it seems a bit unfair.

Still not able to read much, just not finding the time. :-(

Tempted to start Play Dead by Angela Marsons which I've been approved for. Problem is I've only read the first part of the series and have two and three on the kindle to read also!

Megalion I got The Sister by Louise Jensen and read it within a day. Rounded up to 4 stars.

I read Three Minutes to Midnight (Captain Jake Mahegan, #2) by A.J. Tata last week. Definitely a thriller read.

Next thriller I have to read is Medea's Curse by Anne Buist . I'm optimistic!

message 2200: by Megalion (new)

Megalion I'm sort of shocked. Two more approvals today brings me to an unbroken strreak of 9.

Neither are thrillers. Did get Zero K today from Edelweiss. Curious to see what all the DeLillo fuss is about.
