NetGalley Books ... Just Had Approved
No, the advocate badge came out a few months ago, a promo from NG to help promote books, reading. It was sent through email so you might have gotten a link for it.The badge for getting 3 reviews posted by a publisher is called the 'Top Reviewer'
Christine wrote: "OK, thanks, Jan. I have 2 reviews posted."I know I have one, maybe 2 myself. Might have a shot at getting this one, but that 80% one will never happen LOL
If I can do it ladies you can also. I just checked Netgalley, and I have 5 featured out of 80 posted feedback reviews, and have kept my 80% badge.
Sue wrote: "If I can do it ladies you can also. I just checked Netgalley, and I have 5 featured out of 80 posted feedback reviews, and have kept my 80% badge."I got as close as 79% then went on a shopping spree so back down to 69%... I have some reading to do!! :)
Christine wrote: "OK, thanks, Jan. I have 2 reviews posted."Nowhere Girl is publishing reviews, but I don't see any lower than 4 stars. Will be curious to see if we will get our badge after posting our reviews for this one!(I have 2 featured as well)

That's really good Jan.I know I Love Netgalley, but it is like being in a candy store with no parents! I have 8 books to read left on Netgalley plus 1 to finish and give feedback, plus 5 books to read for Maxine. You will have no trouble, as you read fast and write so well.
Take care
Sue

I want a couple of Maxine's books as well but need to get my NG caught up as well as my library reads. It's wonderful to have so many options though, isn't it?!! :-)

It's great, but it is nice when you catch up a bit on Netgalley.

Well, I sure won't, Jan.
I had my 80% badge a couple weeks ago until I went on a little request binge. I have it back to 75%, so should get back to 80% soon. I am aiming for 95% or so. You can't have 100% and be able to have anything new to read, so that is clearly unattainable by anyone unless they retire from Net Galley.

Nah, but I have gotten a thank you e-mail twice from Joel Goldman who co-owns Brash Books for reviews.
I've only submitted 8 feedbacks in total (and have 16 left to read) and none featured :( Hopefully as I rack up my total number of books read etc then I'll have some featured :3
Sean wrote: "Robin Burcell will be doing a Readalong with her bookThe Last Good Place in December"
I have requested it, Sean!
Sean wrote: "Oh did not know Christine.... that's great."Follow Janet's instructions, Sean, and see if you have any more.
Kerry wrote: "I've only submitted 8 feedbacks in total (and have 16 left to read) and none featured :( Hopefully as I rack up my total number of books read etc then I'll have some featured :3"I'm sure you will, Kerry.

That is so cool, HF2.
Great thing I can do 2 possibly 3 reads with the group because I have the books. NG is great I get all these freebies. Time to browse on NG to see what piques my interest and going through the upcoming authors the
Great saw my review !!
Okay, this was a little shock to me today, and funny in a way, but frightening in another way.
I have just been approved this book
Her new book, but I have NOT READ YET, her previous Net Galley book.
I am worried an author CAN write her next book before I can read her last one!!!
LOL

That's pretty good Sean.
I personally am staying away from NG for a bit but seeing what you guys are getting approved is making my finger itchy to click to the site.
Approved for Everyone Brave Is Forgiven, Glory over Everything: Beyond The Kitchen House
and
What She Left.
I just got
. I'm kind of excited about this. I haven't read a Dean Koontz novel in years. It might even be decades. I really enjoyed the ones that I did read, though.
Christine wrote: "HAHA, Chris!! Famous last words, perhaps?"Haven't requested a book in 5 days. But I am itching to click and see what I can get approved for. Do you think I can make it till 11/1
I've been approved for several the past couple of weeks… Ashley Bell, The Last Good Place,The Photographer's Wife,Life and Death in the Andes: On the Trail of Bandits, Heroes, and Revolutionaries and The Passenger. I'd better get busy reading… though I'm reading another NetGalley book I got a short time ago, Twain's End
The Night Clock by Paul MeloyAlistair Grim's Odd Aquaticum by Gregory Funaro
My latest two. Just fun little adult and middle grade fantasies.
Marilee wrote: "I've been approved for several the past couple of weeks… Ashley Bell, The Last Good Place,The Photographer's Wife,[book:Life and Death in the Andes: ..."How is that Twain book going, Marilee? I have seen some not so happy reviews of that one.
