NetGalley Books ... Just Had Approved
I get turned down a lot. I figure that it's because my record for reading the ones that I have in a timely enough manner is not particularly good. :(
Just been approved for
Yes!Thank you Lorrea - I like to make people feel better about themselves! *:D
Mochaspresso (Love your name!) I haven't found it affects my approval rate at all. But I do review every book I read......

NO PIFM Book or BOOK pal for October just Net Galley !"
And I am up to 65......*:D Hope you are soon feeling better Sean. I sometimes think it would be nice to have a couple of days of sick and just read...but all I ever do is sleep if I am sick. Take care my friend.
Christine wrote: "Congrats, Sandy. That's a nice "get"."Thanks Chris - I am looking forward to it. 8:D
Thank you Sandy.
Just gone up to 54 !
Asked for a book a while ago and very excited to have a great book, a Mitch Rapp book.

You are going to have to try harder in order to catch up with Sandy, Sean. You have been dethroned...
Not requested anymore.
Then today approved a book from quite a few weeks ago.
M.J Aldridge.. Pop Goes The Weazel

It took me a while to get approval for that one as well. I can't wait to read it
Just got approved for
. I'm really looking forward to reading this one. It brings my NetGalley total to 19. Still can't hang with the big dogs!

Currently 65 Sean *:D, 64 once I review
, which I finished last night.I am not brave Christine....I just have zero self control when it comes to books. *:D
70 books? When you all say that you have x number of books on netgalley, is that number of books on your shelf WAITING TO BE READ or the number of books you've requested, been approved for and read? Here I am with only 6 unfinished books and I am worrying that I won't finish them before they're due to be archived. I can't imagine having 70.

Sean.... it's official... you're nuts!!
When are you going to read all these books and the ones on your shelves at home?!! What is it now? A thousand more or less or am I being conservative?!! ;0))

Janet, my virtual shelf has like 2400, key word virtual. At least I won't have publisher hitmen breathing down my neck!
Christine wrote: "You don't have to review them before they are archived, Mochaspresso, you just need to download them before then or they disappear. I didn't know that!! I thought that I had to read and review them before their archive date. I also thought that if I didn't do that, they wouldn't approve me for new books. So, I wasn't requesting that many and several of the ones that I did request, I was declined for. I assumed that it was because I had too many outstanding and wasn't reading them fast enough.
What a relief. I was really feeling bad over it. Anyway, I just got approved for...
Congrats, Mochaspresso!! You will be fine! It's always nice if you can read and review by the date the book is released, but even if you miss that, it's not super critical.
Got turned down for one (which I fully expected, just thought I'd chance it), and approved for Liar Liar by M J Arlidge.
Christine wrote: "Oh, Sue, That is wonderful!!!"Yes, Christine I am looking forward to reading this book.
I am trying to be good and stay away from NG until I get my shelf a little clearer.....but I really shouldn't come and read what you guys are having approved because I think 'I want to read that'.....and off I go again *:D

Is this one of those trilogies where one leads right onto the next with the same storyline (with cliffhangers) or are they relative stand alones?
Christine wrote: "Is this one of those trilogies where one leads right onto the next with the same storyline (with cliffhangers) or are they relative stand alones?"Christine,
Both can be read as a standalone; however, you will want to read the two of them, to get learn more about the characters.I would suggest you read the books in sequence.
