Congrats Sue! I just saw this one come up on my update feed today! I still need to read the first in the series which most people seem to have really enjoyed. I better get a move on lol because now I want to read this one too

I will be interested in what you think, as I loved Creep and Freak, but not The Butcher.

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) The Invaders by Karolina Waclawiak Got this from NetGalley last week

message 862: by Rowena (new)

Rowena Hoseason | 20 comments My fella's new thriller has just gone live at NetGalley - probably of interest to people who enjoyed the Dragon Tattoo trilogy and similarly explicit noir / Eurocrime.
Might not yet be listed on Goodreads as it's publication date isn't until the end of the moment, but here's the NetGalley page...

Although it's the kind of thing I'd like. So perhaps I've been sleep-selecting books. Spooky...

Reading this at the moment really enjoying it :)

Rowena Hoseason | 20 comments Lynn wrote: "do I need to read the 1st one...

Hi Lynn - you should be fine to start with Chastity; it's been deliberately constructed and edited to work as a stand-alone. (The publisher was supposed to have included that piece of info in the NetGalley listing, but heyho...)

I'd say - trying to be unbiased as possible - that 'Chastity', the 2nd book, is a better read than the first. More accessible, certainly. So it's a good place to start! If you really enjoy it, you can always go back to 'Charity', the earlier one. That would fill in gaps, but in theory you shouldn't need to.

Hope you enjoy it - be v interested to see how successful Frank was in making it enjoyable for new readers...
