Dana, the first one was called Don't Turn Around
by Caroline Mitchell. It was so good!

My fella's new thriller has just gone live at NetGalley - probably of interest to people who enjoyed the Dragon Tattoo trilogy and similarly explicit noir / Eurocrime. Might not yet be listed on Goodreads as it's publication date isn't until the end of the moment, but here's the NetGalley page...

Looks like I have Stasi Child
waiting for me - although weirdly I have no recollection of asking for it!
Although it's the kind of thing I'd like. So perhaps I've been sleep-selecting books. Spooky...

Just got this book from netgalley but i just noticed it is the 2nd one do i need to read the 1st one first or if i read this on its own will that be ok???
Dana wrote: "I just got approved from Netgalley for

Lynn wrote: "do I need to read the 1st one...Hi Lynn - you should be fine to start with Chastity; it's been deliberately constructed and edited to work as a stand-alone. (The publisher was supposed to have included that piece of info in the NetGalley listing, but heyho...)
I'd say - trying to be unbiased as possible - that 'Chastity', the 2nd book, is a better read than the first. More accessible, certainly. So it's a good place to start! If you really enjoy it, you can always go back to 'Charity', the earlier one. That would fill in gaps, but in theory you shouldn't need to.
Hope you enjoy it - be v interested to see how successful Frank was in making it enjoyable for new readers...
☺️just had Wonderland come through too Sue.
Starting it tonight. Glad you are enjoying if Lynn :)
