Thanks Christine that must be it there are a few now that say not available has a button to click to let the author know you would like it to be so I clicked clicked clicked lol
Not sure what is going on with NetGalley, or maybe this is just my experience recently. I've had 2 books on request for months, and have heard nothing. I suspect that the books will be archived and the requests will simply be automatically rejected (which is very irritating). Just requested one more to see what will happen, but doubt that it will be approved. Was rejected for
, which wasn't a surprise, and at least they did that quickly. :)
Hi Traci--I requested Linwood Barclay's Broken Promise in April and didn't get approved till I think later July, close to its release date. I had totally given up on it. Maybe this will be the case with the two books you have been waiting on. When are their release dates and what are the titles? Let's see if anyone else is waiting on them or have actually been approved.

So it's kind of weird that these two are taking much longer. The two books are
(release date 10/20) and
(release date 9/29).
I'm thinking you still might get these, Traci. Keep us posted. I am very curious as to what happens. Has ANYONE out there ever NOT heard back one way or the other about a Net Galley request?
I sometimes find out I've been declined requests but have had no email notifications sent out to me.
I have had a few where I never heard anything for months, and then when the book is published, I either get a denial notification, or a approval once the book has been published...maybe they don't have enough reviews. Everything is basically finalized around publication date.
Traci--that happened with me for
. I just got approved although I requested it in the beginning of July.

Looking forward to read it.
Christine wrote: "I recently bought that one for very cheap, Sue. It does look good."Yes Christine, I am looking forward to reading it.
I was losing my resolve and going over to Net Galley "just to look" at this book, Sean. Fortunately, it is UK only. (-: Still in control!

Go for it Girl!
I'm being really good and not requesting anything. Haven't looked at NetGalley for a few weeks now. Need to catch up on what I've got. At the end of the day there's always libraries on the odd occasion!

Well, I skidded in my tracks on the way back to NG, Sue. Gonna continue to be good for now, like Ms Mod. Sigh. Where's the chocolate...
Im waiting to hear back about Wonderland by Jennifer Hilliard who wrote ...Creep and Freak. Nothing yet.
She had another one called Butcher. just in case you didn't know. I didn't think it was her best but that's only my opinion. :)

. Got a surprise email from First To Read and they offered this book without a request or the use of points.

I absolutely hated it. It was so far removed from her first two books. That's why I'm anxious to see what she comes up with next.
Wow, you guys, I was not a fan of Creep. Never made it to Freak--booted it right off the mountain top.

That's right, Loretta. I could not stand those scenes when the baddie was holding the woman captive. Couldn't stand them! Only time I have ever skimmed anything in a novel.

Geez Christine, no offense. I liked the book, you didn't. No harm, no foul.
I didn't rate it either.. 3 stars from me.
