Valid Website for books?

Please see this thread. It looks to me like a website we cannot use for data.

It seems to me similar to Lulu in that authors (and other creators) can upload and offer their wares through the site.

Lulu is regarded as a publisher and is allowed, if I recall correctly. But since itch.io call themselves a marketplace it is perhaps more of a grey area.
