it's about this lady who gets an antique sword that when held up makes a man appear. he goes in and out of periods of time unless summoned by the sword. the woman falls for him and frees him in the end, but somehow he finds his way back to her.
p.s. I'm pretty sure the lady is a history teacher or something like that with an ex. who stole a book/books she wrote.
