Lea (leaspot) | 3759 comments Congrats on finishing 8 books in June and getting a new job. Fingers crossed about that library assistant job. I loved working for the library many moons ago...

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments Thanks Lea, job seems to be going well and have already been allowed to work from home already.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments Well, I need to double check, but working has affected my reading, only seem to have read 3.5 books this month (won't get to finish my last book today). I am away Tue to Sat though, so hopefully will start August off well!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments Well, between my new job, doing craft fairs with my friend and trying to maintain my best ever walking streak, I don't seem to have much time to keep this up and not as much reading time, so no longer ahead on my challenge, but at least not behind! Have tried getting on top of things like batch cooking with a free couple of weekends so that I can have more reading time, so fingers crossed.

Sounds like you've been enjoying your life, Desley! The books will still be here when you get back. 🤗🤗

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments Yes, life is very enjoyable at the moment, and getting to see some amazing nature. Plus we are currently doing a charity walking challenge for work, so want to contribute to that as much as I can.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments Still behind on reading, which is a shame as I'm also now behind on my reading challenge. Walking streak ended at 204 days, with the clock change it didn't feel safe trying to walk 3 miles after work. I have enjoyed having a bit extra reading time the last few days though. Got craft fairs kind of the next 7 weekends (last but one weekend is a Thu night rather than the weekend). November is first in series, but don't seem to have as many as I thought, not a bad thing with less reading time!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments Well, rather late for my end of year catch up, having amended my target a couple of times. I did end up hitting it. Have had a good year of reading, more than usual for a period due to no job, then slowed down a lot while adjusting to new job and new hobby, though while the weather has been bad, it has been easier to find reading time.
