Pamela (bibliohound) | 292 comments Book #1 Ancient Egypt
The Anubis Slayings by Paul Doherty
3.5* - lots of interesting historical details and a clever plot, but very slow to get going.

Pamela (bibliohound) | 292 comments Book #2 Early 20th Century
An Oxford Tragedy by J.C. Masterman (1930s England)
3* - good setting and some interesting characters, the ending was a bit drawn out
