Date 7 - Tasks: Breakdown of the qualifications for possible tasks for Date 7.Please remember that all tags/lists must qualify IN CONTEXT!! Links MUST be provided.
Don't make more work for yourself than necessary - if the qualifier is in the title or on the cover, use it! You don't have to go searching for tags to make it work. 😊 If the link you use for the book is the same you are using for the page count and edition - say so (see above edition or something similar)! That saves us all some steps. But please double check your links!
You may use separate editions of your Scavenger Hunt books to qualify for the different tasks. Links MUST be provided.
O is for Odyssey - Read a book 300 pages or over.
To qualify for this task, the selected book needs to have a first edition Kindle edition 300 pages or over. Don't overthink this - it is the same page count you post for every book.
O is for Orca - Read a book with black and white cover.
To qualify, the selected books cover needs to be black and/or white. Shades of gray will also be allowed. A small pop of color, e.i. title, eyes, or lips, will be allowed, but it must be small! You can use any edition's cover to qualify. Please include the qualifying cover in your completion posts.
O is for Oregon - Read a book set in Oregon or written by an author from Oregon.
To qualify, the author of the selected book needs to be from or currently live in Oregon. Or, the title, series title, precis, book details, tags or list need to indicate the book is set in Oregon. The setting can be the state or city within Oregon.
O is for Owlish - Read a book featuring a smart or geek/nerd character.

To qualify for this task, the title, précis, list or tag would need to indicate that the selected book has a geek or nerd (or brainy or intelligent) MC. Qualification can come from the title, precis, tags or lists.

Yeah Oregon could potentially be pretty hard! I gotta check out my physical tbr. I don’t think I have anything already in my ebook tbr.
So I have a super random question but I just changed how I get notifications for groups I’m in and I regret it because I’m now getting notifications for literally everything. Example- when someone comments in their specific reading challenge group - I’m getting an alert even though I have nothing to do with that group discussion. Do y’all know what setting I should have to only get notifications for groups that I’ve commented in? Example - I used to only get notifications for when y’all commented on this group page which was perfect because I’m in this group and I want to know when y’all post something. I Don’t know why I went and messed with it lol but I regret it!
Help please if you know how!
Oh that's a pain... the only thing I know is for me there's an edit button under the comment box on the webpage (not the app) that says notify me when people comment? Hopefully someone else has a better idea lol
okay over 300 pages should be okay but I doubt I'll find any sh books this week lol I restarted an ARC today that is over 300 pages and romance but nothing on the main page, hopefully they appear but I should a book or 2 in this week! I'm in a new job and no more wfh, and it's an hour longer per day than my current one but so I'll see how I am and try use audiobooks for my commute!
It's also massive rugby season here and the 6 nations starts next weekend so i might be later checking in books over the weekend

To qualify, the book needs to be available as an hard cover. The hard cover can be in any language. Please link to the hard cover edition on GR of your chosen book in your completion posts. If that is not available, please provide a link to Amazon showing the hard cover edition.

R is for Roam - Read a road trip romance or a book with travel in the story.
To qualify, your book needs to include a trip or vacation. This can be indicated in the precis, title, tag or list. For this task, I will also allow two different settings listed in the book details on the main book page to qualify.
R is for Rom-Com - Read a book that is MPG Comedy or Humor.
To qualify, the selected books need to have 'Comedy' or 'Humor' as a Main Page Genre.
R is for Ruby - Read a book with a red cover.
To qualify, the cover needs to be primarily red. Include the qualifying cover in your completion post. You can use any edition's cover to qualify. If using TinEye (I have a love/hate relationship with that site), it needs to be over 50% read and make sure you are including the background. If in doubt, please ask.
