WorldCat is the preferred source for page counts for printed books and they have this specific edition/ISBN listed with 387 pages.

I've checked several other online sources and also found 387 pages.

Amazon was one of the sources I checked for this hardcover ISBN and they have it listed with 400 pages.

Please double-check the ISBN. What is the publication date? And your cover matches the Goodreads listing for this ISBN?

Wow - there are 168 editions of this book on Goodreads. I did find a paperback edition that has 626 pages - ISBN 9780385534635.

Yes, you can switch to another edition. You can enter 9780385534635 in the "Search books" box at the top of the screen and that should bring up the edition I referenced above.

Or you can click on the "Show all 168 editions" further down the page and then choose one of those.
