Dana | 148 comments Hey, Scott! Added the books to the series and also corrected the titles of the other books. The title format should be "Work Title (Series Title, #1)" and the books were missing this comma before the number, so I added it everywhere :)
Could you mark your topic as "closed", please? Thank you!

Scott Walker (scottiswriting) | 13 comments Shoot, I thought I had that right. Thanks so much for sorting it out!

Not sure how to mark this closed (sorry). I don't see a button/link on this page where I can do that...?

[UPDATE: I think I figured out the "closed" thing, but let me know if I need to do something else!]

Comma not required. No comma is now conventional though comma is allowed.

Librarian Manual
"If the book is numbered in the series, place the number after the series name with the # symbol in front of it. (Use the same conventions for series numbering in titles as is used in the series object.) Previous conventions used a comma after the series name and before the number; this is also acceptable."

Oh, didn't know that! On the book edit page, the pop-out for the title field says "If the book is in a series, put which book it is in parenthesis after the title. For example: Breaking Dawn (Twilight, #4)", also using the comma, so I thought that was still the only acceptable way.
That's good to know, thanks!

Makes things easier. No need to change either way unless one just wants to do so.
