Magic Emporium does not work - it is not a numbered series.
Chosen Universe does work - it is a numbered series listed on GR with 10 or more books.

That series would work. Some of those are pretty iffy, but they are listed.

In this case it is the second edition, dated April 28, 2014 with a page count of 172.

I'm getting other questions similar to this one, so I will make a blanket answer about this sort of thing in a separate post. But to answer specifically about this series - no, it will not work.
Clarification as to what will count towards qualifying a series for Hoard!!The series has to have 10 or more NUMBERED books in the series. A book being listed on the series page without a number will not be counted towards the number of works in a series. Beyond that, the book you read in the series must be numbered in the series as well.
So, if a series has 15 primary books, it would qualify as a series for this task. You could also read any numbered novellas in that series as long as they otherwise qualify for the challenge (page count, MPG Romance...).
If a series has 6 primary books and 5 numbered novellas - that series would also qualify for this task.
And so on.
I hope this helps clear up some things.
Date 5 - Tasks: Breakdown of the qualifications for possible tasks for Date 5.Please remember that all tags/lists must qualify IN CONTEXT!! Links MUST be provided.
Don't make more work for yourself than necessary - if the qualifier is in the title or on the cover, use it! You don't have to go searching for tags to make it work. 😊 If the link you use for the book is the same you are using for the book details or cover - say so (see above edition or something similar)! That saves us all some steps. But please double check your links!
You may use separate editions of your Scavenger Hunt books to qualify for the different tasks. Links MUST be provided.
E is for Eager - Read a book initially published in the last 6 months.
To qualify for this task, the book needs to be initially published within the last six months. To qualify, the book needs to have been initially published on or after July 14, 2022. For this task the first publication date is the one that will count. If there is a date listed at the top of the editions page - USE IT! Otherwise, I will be looking for earliest dated English language edition regardless of format.
E is for Eject - Read a book tagged as 'DNF'.
To qualify for this task, the book needs to be tagged with either 'did not finish' or 'dnf'.
E is for Enchanted - Read a book that is MPG Fantasy.
To qualify, the selected book needs to have 'Fantasy' as a Main Page Genre.
E is for ??? - ???
To be revealed when the date begins.
Will shelves like could-not-finish be accepted for DNF? Especially for books released recently, DNF/did-not-finish is not always present..

This round of TBC has been both fun and frustrating with the SHR books. Fun as they HAVE been hard to find. Frustrating as they are hard to come by some dates, and because my TBR is growing like CRAZY while I look for books 😬

Hi Benita - I think Kat will be OK with me answering. Combination tags are fine. Eg. Romance > Fantasy.
From Q&A:

A: Just has to have romance - on its own or combined with contemporary, historical or whatever.
Is that what you are asking? It needs both though in some format to qualify for Fantasy. (Romance always has to be on the main page.)

Hi Benita - I think Kat will be O..."
Just to put what Jane said in a slightly different way - the book must be MPG Romance and MPG Fantasy, but it doesn't matter if it's the same tag or separate. So MPG Romance AND MPG Fantasy works, as does MPG Romance > Fantasy. And either Fantasy or Romance can be combined with other things (Paranormal, etc), all will qualify.

I started a book many months ago and stopped reading it for a while. I just picked it up again to try and finish it. If it meets the parameters of this task could it still count?

Books have to be read entirely within the time frame of each date to count. You can not start them before the date begins and they have to be finished and posted before the date ends.
Hi again. As many of you know, we live in the mountains in southern California and are getting hit with yet another storm. We had nearly 6" of rain yesterday and snow has started this evening. My internet is being sluggish and the satellite is already out. I will likely be a little slow getting things checked until this storm moves out Tuesday. The good news is that this appears to be the last storm for a while. 🤞🏼

I understand. It's a retelling of Anastasia. I couldn't find anything other than royals/empress which I knew was out, so I was hoping treasures would work.
Either way it was an awesome read. One of my favorite retellings.
