She looked around, slightly scared, as she saw no teachers come in. She sighed, softly.
He looked at her, giving her a small nudge. "It's alright" he reassured.
She smiled at him, nodding her head.
He kept smiling, glancing at the clock.
She put her last book on the shelf, turning to the clock, worried about the late timing of the teacher.
He looks at her again. "You seem worried. Hn.. Hey, know the teachers can't do anything to you once the principle finds out."
She nodded before hearing the word principle as she hid behind him. "Where? Tell him I'm not here." She said, before blinking again, and realizing the principle wasn't actually there.
"Okay, yeah," He pursed his lips. "We're gonna get you away from them and like-" He sighs, obviously seeing something was wrong. "Wow, ahha, and get along with my teachers."
She nodded, as she looked around the library. She was sure the principal was going to come soon, but she was scared to leave, but scared to not leave too. She looked back at him, replying "I'm not sure if that's a good idea." She replied.
"Blaire," He says, giving a soft smile. "It is a good idea. I mean, i'm here after all. I can make sure they don't hurt you. Have you told any other people?" Reiko tilted his head.
She looked back as he called her name, slightly blushing, telling her he was with her, before asking if she'd told anyone. "Well I uh...I haven't told my family, but only because I'm really scared as to what the principal will do to them." She replied. "So I..uh..no. I guess your the first person to know." She replied.
"It's safe with me...Just." He sighs. "He can't do much to your family, since he is the one at fault here..." Reiko says this slowly, glancing at his hands. "Yeah, Blaire. You don't deserve to keep this a secret and be scared like this."
She nodded. "But I...-" She was interrupted by a loud thudding of the library doors as it slammed open. A shadowy figure approached as Blaire's eyes rolled into fear mode, and made sure Reiko was covering her.
"Y-" He was also cut off, head turning abruptly towards the door, his stance taking on something a bit more protective as he moved to cover her better. The shadowy figure seemed somehow familiar, as Reiko clears his throat and watches the person.
Blaire continued to hide behind Reiko, clearly scared for her life, as the shadowy figure entered the room. It was indeed, their principal, but he wasn't mad, rather an evil grin took place in his usual frown. "My, my, my." He replied in a twisted way that made it seem like he wasn't evil, but rather good. "If it isn't my two favorite students." He continued. Blaire could feel her heartbeat increasing rapidly as she clutched Reiko's shirt from behind softly, trying not to be seen.
"Hello, Sir." Reiko says softly, as if it where a normal encounter. He wanted this to speed along, if possible. Blaire being so scared...It made him sad. Watching his expressions closely, Rei stays in front of the other, and made a move to simply place an arm around her - in a friendly manner.
The principal nodded. "Now now, don't be shy darling. Come on out." He said. Blaire stayed hidden as Reiko put an arm around her, as she tried her best to calm down. The principal clapped his hands loudly, as he talked again. "Blaire, you may come out now." He said, his voice now filled with sternness as Blaire gasped in horror. She moved a little, still not revealing herself.
He does his best not to make a face of disgust at the principal's words. Reiko held Blaire tighter, his touch almost there to reassure her she could stay. He was fairly proud she hadn't shown herself fully either. Eager to change the subject, Rei looks at the man. "What are you doing in the library at this time of day? I mean, I would only assume that you have paperwork to do, Sir?"
Blaire could see Reiko holding Blaire tight as he wrapped his hands around her. She was still shaken, but Reiko was making her much less scared. "Me? Why? Can't I be in the library of my own school? Is it against me? And no, my paper work is done, I'm here for something extra special." He said, smiling wickedly.
"I didn't mean to be rude.." He says softly, exhaling at his smile. Even as he himself got nervous around him, he couldn't imagine what it was like for poor Blaire. "Blaire was helping me choose a new book." He says, lying quite smoothly. "We were just in the middle of searching. Now, if i may..without being rude...And all do respect, sir.." Reiko's eyes narrow. "What's so special?"
The principal nodded. "Why do you care? Is she your girlfriend?" The principal asked. Blaire mouthed a thank you, as she hid behind him before The principal asked if they were dating. Her face turned bright red as she leaned on Rieko lightly.
"Hm." He allows the arm that was around Blaire to pull her even closer, pecking her cheek. "Good observation..." He smiles brightly, yet his eyes stayed sharp. "Now, why does that matter? You asked a question, i respond, so now you get to."
She smiled, keeping herself from falling over as she held Reiko's shirt lightly. "I believe that she belongs to me in this school. She is mine to deal with and mine to toy around." He said, angrly.
All Reiko though was 'oh hell no' at those words. His face kept calm, though in a painful manner. "Blaire is a person, not an object. And she isn't anybody's, and sure as heck not yours, if she were. Who do you think she would belong to if we were putting possession at stake here?" He leans closer to him. "You better leave her alone, i'm not afraid of getting expelled. Books can be great weapons."
Blaire was shocked when Reiko stood up for her, but when he said that he wouldn't mind getting expelled she knew she'd also get dragged with him too, weather she wanted to or not. She had to stop him from getting more deep with the principal as she finally showed her face from behind Reiko, pulling away from his hands, but she grabbed it once she was next to him, helping her calm down. "He's right sir. What you have been doing is illegal, and I genuinely cannot be more disgusted at you then ever. If you expel him, you expel me as well, no other way." She replied, impressed at her bravery.
Reiko glances at Blaire. He couldn't help but smile now, even through the situation...It was nice to see her loosen up a little. "Exactly. You think you're getting away with this, when really you're edging towards your own form of expelling. Now, you want to keep seeing her, right you disgusting excuse for a human? Then leave her alone. Take it out on me. Better looking then touching." He practically spat the last part, squeezing her hand gently.
She smiled back, flattered that Reiko was standing up for her, despite just meeting her. She felt herself turn red slowly, but the Principal was too angry to reply. He simply stormed off away, and shut the doors of the library closed. Blaire felt her knees go weak as she let go of Reiko's hands and fell to the floor, sighing.
He watched him leave, taking a moment to close his eyes, breath, and count to three. Once reopening them, he looks at her, sinking to his knees too. "So, girlfriend," he teased, "How are you feeling? Was that too much?" He smiled, patting her head.
She looked back at him, her eyes wet from crying from nerves and barely able to hold her blush in. She looked down again, feeling embarrassed as she nodded slowly. "Kin-kinda." She said, quietly.
He automatically moved in front of her, using the sleeve of his jacket to dry her tears softly, then cupping her cheek. Even by just meeting her, he felt the need to take care of her already. "i'm sorry, i know that had to have been hard. Is there anything i can do to help you feel better?" He tried to keeping smiling.
She blushed as he wiped her tears, before answering. "Would you mind walking me home? Or maybe carrying, I don't think I can stand very well." She said, laughing uncomfortably.
He looks at her, a small blush of his own appearing, before he nods. "Of course. I understand..." He stands up, offering her a hand. "Here, lets try and stand, then i can carry you...ah...how?" He bites his lip. "I don't want you uncomfortable-"
"We could try piggy-back." She replied.
He grins, turning around and crouching a little. "hop onnn!~"
She got on her knees and placed her hands around his shoulders, waiting to be lifted.
He smiles, carefully standing and hooking his arms with the legs. "Secure?" He asks, walking a bit.
"Yup." She said, making sure she wasn't putting too much weight on him.
He nods, walking to the exit happily. "just direct me, kay?"
She replied. "Gladly." She said, letting him navigate outside from school first.
He walks outside of campus, pausing at the school gates for her directions.
"Left here and then walk for about 15 minutes." She replied. "Or 7 blocks." She said sheepishly.
"Cool," he begins to walk as instructed
She placed her head on his back, hiding her face, now pure red, as she sighed. "Thanks again." She said.
"No need to thank me!" He chuckles, still walking - not too quickly, but not too slowly. "It's my pleasure,"
"I still can't thank you enough." She said, unburrying her face from his back as she smiled.
He glances back at her. "Well, really no thanks needed! I thank you for being brave. Standing up for yourself if very important." He says softly.
She laughed softly. "I think because you were there I was able to, or else i would've never been able to." She replied.
"Its Completely understandable!" He reassured.
She nodded again, happy she'd met Reiko.
