Year of Monthly Challenges Round-out!

Challenge: make progress on any of our monthly challenges before the year is over.

This month is all about finishing out the year with a bang! Do you have any categories you’d like to wrap up before the beginning of the next year? Were there any challenges you didn’t get to spend enough time on? If so, this is your chance to round out each month and get your lists ready to go again for 2023.

Feel free to create your own thread in this folder to track the monthly challenges, then comment here to tell us what challenge you’re spending more time on this month. Which challenge was your favorite?

Tammie | 5956 comments I think I've been pretty good about going back through these lists each month and checking things off that just so happened to fulfill the monthly challenges. It does get to be a lot to remember every month, so I'm glad December is dedicated to just that.

I was just snooping around your thread and wow you have sooo many checked off - nicely done! Even though I was working most of the challenges, I got lazy a few months there and never updated my comment boxes. It’ll be nice having this month to do some updates in there to get ready for next year.

Laziness is a thing! Around March I started having trouble keeping track... got mostly caught up last month just to clean up my sheet for the competition finale, but right after that slumped again. >.<

Does this month count for non-monthly challenge tracking too? One thing I was really excited about was finally finding a book for my last Bingo slot!

BTW, @NIki, thank you for organizing this whole monthly challenge opportunity! Each month was really creative and fun!

I don't know if you're planning on leaving all the months the same in the future, but I thought of a category possibility if you do plan on tweaking some: Award winners/nominees!

Aw, you're welcome. Thanks for the appreciation. We ^_^

We could totally add in an Award Winners/Nominees category next year. The ones I was thinking about changing were April and May. I liked the April Showers/May Flowers thing but the categories are a bit too vague I think. I would change out April for Awards for alliteration.

We would need a new category for may though. Does anyone have suggestions? :)

Nirkatze | 21219 comments May Makeovers? Stories that are retellings or inspired by others? That might be too specific... Rereads you've been wanting to get back to?

I like both of those.

Adding a play on "May the 4th be with you": scifi month?

"May the odds...?" something to do with stats?

Nirkatze | 21219 comments Hmm... for May the 4th--we are Fantasy Buddy Reads--so it could be to read things that are on your TBR but not in your normal comfort zone reading genre(s)? Or even read as many books recommended by others?

For "May the Odds"--oddball books--maybe try some indie published books rather than mainstream books...
