Bix F. (bixfrankonis) | 119 comments Hoping someone can offer me some clarity here. There’s a collection published by The New York Times called The Decameron Project: 29 New Stories from the Pandemic whose stories also are individually available online.

(1) Can those stories also be listed on Goodreads on their own?
(2) If not, currently, is there an argument that such stories should be able to have their own individual listing?

It’s not clear to me what the current policy is, and I feel like if a story published on a website that’s not also in a book can have a listing, stories published on a website despite also being in a book should also get a listing.

I’m not going to argue the point in the thread here. I’m just curious what the current policy is, and wanted to pitch the above.

Thanks!

Renske | 12220 comments It depends how they are available online. If it is only accessible for subscribers of The New York Times it won't count for Goodreads as published on their own.
