Grace Meredith (koreantrash) So, I started about a week ago, on February 19th. Obviously I'm way behind on my books. However, I'm slowly but steadily catching up. This is how:

1. I read and review the book for the week I'm on
2. Once I'm done, I go back to the previous week and read & review one of the books from there
3. Repeat for all weeks

For some weeks, this doesn't work. For example, my first book is Gone With The Wind, which is taking me more than a week to read. When I'm done that, I expect I'll go through the rest of the books I need to catch up with pretty quickly.

This topic is for all the laggers and jumpers. But I also would like some feedback from people who are on track! I want to know your secrets. ☺️☺️☺️

Tammy I'm on track because I am spending waaaay too much time reading! I'm loving it but my To Do List is getting longer as my reading is taking up more of my time. I need more balance!

Morgan (morgan_fitz) | 6 comments I'm staying on track by doing the list out of order. When I'm reading a longer book or one that doesn't captivate my interest as much, it takes me a little longer than a week, but then I make sure to choose a shorter or easier read to help me get back on track! Ex. Dragonfly in Amber took me a couple of weeks to read, so when I finished it I read The Giver (a book from my childhood) because it was such a short, easy read!

Kirsty | 6 comments hiya. I am on my 8th book and have been reading since the 1st January. I can't do reading a book a week. So I think limiting yourself to a week is too much. so just don't worry about it :-)
i have also given myself the rule of one book can cover 2 catagories. I don't know if anyone else

Jody (jodybell) | 531 comments I don't have a strategy at all, I'm just reading what I feel like reading & so far I've been able to make every book fit one of the weeks (I'm not reading in the group's week order). I want to enjoy it as much as I can, and forcing myself to read something in order isn't really conducive to that. I tend to alternate between more difficult reads & easier ones, and that works for me.

I've done eighteen weeks of the challenge so far, and I seem to have reverted to my childhood self who always had her nose in a book - and I love it.

Rebekah | 98 comments I started the GoodReads 2015 Reading Challenge a little bit late this year (January 12 -- LOL). By January 20, I finished twelve books.

I have tons of different reading lists of which to choose, but I couldn't think of which book to read next. A few weeks ago, I found the PopSugar Reading Challenge. I've spent the last few weeks trying to figure out which books to read in order to tick off a category on the list.

In the meantime, I read four more books, combined reading lists while definitely trying to finish the PopSugar list this year, and trying to keep up with my tv and Oscar movie schedule this year. LOL

LOL -- Yes, I definitely like lists. Total PopSugar categories completed = 12. Number of books to the other categories that are ready to complete (with options for each category) = 34. Number of books I'm still trying to pick for the remaining categories = 4. The month I'm hoping to finish this by is late June/early July.

Emily Tillis | 24 comments I don't stick to reading any one book in a week. I am at any point in the middle of 5-7 books. I keep one in the nightstand, one in my car for waiting when running errands, one in my desk drawer at work, one in the living room, an audio book, etc. I have finished 13 books thus far, but am not going in any particular order.

Becky (firesmithb) | 6 comments Sounds like me, Emily. I always have several books I am reading at the same time. When I get tired of reading one of them, I pick up another, and then later I go back to the previous one. It takes awhile, but I do get them read eventually. : )

message 9: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Pereira (adrianacecilia) I'm so so far behind!!! I'm still on weeks 2 and 3. I haven't been reading much lately but I'll try to catch up (which will probably be impossible).

I like that strategy Grace! I might do that too.

Rebekah | 98 comments Remember, Adriana, you don't have to read in order. If you find a book from Week 17 first before you find one for Week 8, then read Week 17's book first.
