I have a profile (https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/3...) that has an author's profile associated, but with the wrong name. My actual books (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...) are separated from my account and I can't change my author name to re-associate them. Can someone please help?

If you would like to claim the author profile, use the link at the bottom that says "Is this you? Let us know" to begin the application process.

Scott wrote: "You only have a user account, so you should be able to change it to whatever you want."Except I can't. I have tried multiple times, and I get this error:
Sorry, you are already in the author program as Harry Blakeman and only one author profile may be claimed at a time. For more information click here.
Not sure what to do, that's why I'm asking this crowd.
You are posting from a user account so I am not sure why you are getting that message. I cannot even find a Harry Blakeman author. You will have to contact support:

What if you changed these books authors to Harry Blakeman? That's the name that any future books will be written under.https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
I'm just trying to regain them under the same author profile. Once I get them all under one profile, I'll make sure it's all listed as H.G. Blakeman.
Even when my user account is set to H.G. I still can't take control of these books. There appears to be some phantom author account I can't control.
I did reach out to support, I was just hoping there might be some inventive way we could solve the problem more simply.
The application process is the only way to gain control of the author profile. It has to be set up on support's end.

Librarians cannot help with author applications, especially since you already seem to have an author account according to the error message.
