Kim has a follow up meeting with Jamie’s flamboyant friend River who has gone through a massive change in demeanor and look. Do you believe Kim could have delivered that speech of encouragement without having witnessed so called conversion therapy methods like those at Change and the people she interviewed like John McDermott? Were her own attitudes changed?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I believe Kim accepts people as they are. She would have offered the same advice. I do think Change impacted her because she saw what can happen to good people who can't be accepted as they are.

I think Kim was profoundly impacted by what she witnessed and am not sure she would have gone back in and said those things to River if she hadn’t felt the injustice of this community’s treatment. She’s forever changed.

Lynn (ftbooklover) I agree with both Jonetta and Sharon on this one.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Agree with you all.. Kim was never a prejudiced person but her seeing what was happening at the Clinic probably opened her eyes to make her more vocal and proactive about speaking out.
