The prologue describes a murder from one point of view. When did you realize it’s connection to the story?

I knew there was a connection from the start. Marsons doesn't give us information unless it is relevant. After sixteen books, I've learned to pay close attention to the prologue. It doesn't help me solve the case, but I look for the connection reveal as I read.

I knew it would connect eventually but never made it until Celia and Megan’s relationship was revealed. Blew right by me.

Wow.. I had to go back when I had finished to refresh what the connection was. Makes perfect sense... now. I thought it would have something to do with the current murders. Clever twist.
