I haven't read I Was Here, so I don't know.
Okay so this one looks good and the school library journal says its okay for grades 9 and up, so definitely YA, but I can't find it anywhere, unless you want to pay 10.99 (which I don't) - I may have to splurge though. The heroine is a schizophrenic in high school and she meets the hero, who happens to be someone she has hallucinated about prior to their initial encounter. Check it out:

Only the first!!! We should read the second together because most of us have been wanting too!!

not on our bookshelf?!?!?!?"
I want to read this one, too! But I'm #12 on the library waiting list. :(

THIS IS SOOOO CUTE! <3 I wish there is a third book though. :)

-The Distance Between Us by Kasie West. It's a light, cute, funny, and short read with some serious problems and life lessons in it. A beautiful story overall.
-Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. It's about gay love, but it's as good as any normal love story. It's insightful and more people should read it.
-Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It's really relatable to us bookworms and fangirls. It's about a fangirl who goes to college, writes fan fiction, and, to her own surprise, falls in love.
-All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. A beautiful, heart breaking, and touching novel. It's about a suicidal boy and a suicidal girl who fall in love and teach each other how to live. It is by far one of my favorite books.

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions, please come back and discuss them when we are reading them as a group.

Emmy & Oliver—A New Story of Love and Friendship
Emmy and Oliver were going to be best friends forever, or maybe even more, before their futures were ripped apart. In Emmy's soul, despite the space and time between them, their connection has never been severed. But is their story still written in the stars? Or are their hearts like the pieces of two different puzzles—impossible to fit together?
Emmy just wants to be in charge of her own life.... She wants to stay out late, surf her favorite beach—go anywhere without her parents' relentless worrying. But Emmy's parents can't seem to let her grow up—not since the day Oliver disappeared.
Oliver needs a moment to figure out his heart. . . . He'd thought, all these years, that his dad was the good guy. He never knew that it was his father who had kidnapped him and kept him on the run. Discovering it, and finding himself returned to his old hometown, all at once, has his heart racing, and his thoughts swirling.

lol, okay!!!

Let me know.......I have it!

The youngest of six talented sisters, Elyse d’Abreau was destined for stardom—until a boating accident took everything from her. Now, the most beautiful singer in Tobago can’t sing. She can’t even speak.
Seeking quiet solitude, Elyse accepts a friend’s invitation to Atargatis Cove. Named for the mythical first mermaid, the Oregon seaside town is everything Elyse’s home in the Caribbean isn’t: An ocean too cold for swimming, parties too tame for singing, and people too polite to pry—except for one.
Christian Kane is a notorious playboy—insolent, arrogant, and completely charming. He’s also the only person in Atargatis Cove who doesn’t treat Elyse like a glass statue. He challenges her to express herself, and he admires the way she treats his younger brother Sebastian, who believes Elyse is the legendary mermaid come to life.
When Christian needs a first mate for the Cove’s high-stakes Pirate Regatta, Elyse reluctantly stows her fear of the sea and climbs aboard. The ocean isn’t the only thing making waves, though—swept up in Christian’s seductive tide and entranced by the Cove’s charms, Elyse begins to wonder if a life of solitude isn’t what she needs. But changing course again means facing her past. It means finding her inner voice. And scariest of all, it means opening her heart to a boy who’s best known for breaking them . . .
