Boško (boskodelic) | 48 comments Hello,

I've searched the librarian manual for answers to these questions, but I've been unable to find them. 2 questions have arisen since I became a librarian.
1) If a single work has been published in multiple books, how should they be saved in the database? For example, if a work is published in 3 books, should they be listed separately, as a series or a single work? It is a single work, a single story, separated in multiple books.
2) How can I change the author of the book if there are multiple authors with the same name in the database? If I just type the name, the name stays the same.

Thanks!

That depends on how they were made available by the publisher. If they were sold as a set, that would be listed as a single work. If the volumes were sold separately, each would have a separate listing.

We use spaces to disambiguate. See https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/... (Section: Separating authors with the same name)
