Lauren | 2157 comments The cover image for this edition (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...) is crooked, and it's driving me crazy.

I took the original, higher-quality image from Amazon (https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/9...) and rotated/cropped it so that it's straight. Please use this image instead: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/user/...

Thank you!

Lauren | 2157 comments Can anyone please help with this?

Martin | 35302 comments That is a three volume set and does not give the details we would need to confirm the edition.

Hi there. That is the same image/source for the cover currently in use, so probably best to just take it down for now, then. I don't have time to find a better one.

Martin | 35302 comments You have not provided a source which confirms issue details so we cannot use the image.
No source is logged for previous image upload so I do not know it to be incorrect so cannot remove it.

Sorry, I don't get it. They are, quite literally, the same image—I've just corrected the cropping.

I own this edition and can confirm the ISBN matches.

Or feel free to add it under one of these ISBNs instead: https://www.worldcat.org/title/924370086

Martin | 35302 comments If you own this edition are you willing to provide a scan or photo of your copy? That would be an acceptable source.
If you want to do this you could upload the image to your profile photos and we can take it from there.

No, I don't have a scanner and don't have access to one right now. If you just want "proof" that I own the book I can snap a picture but it's not going to be good quality.

Martin | 35302 comments It isn't about 'proof', we can't use an image unless it is from a source which is correct for the edition.

Where in the librarian manual are you seeing this?

I don't understand why the image I posted is unacceptable when it is a) from an acceptable source and b) is visually identical to both the current cover image being used and the book I own.

Goodreads clearly already allows librarians to use discretion and independent judgement if they're willing to accept image scans from users.

Martin | 35302 comments I have used the existing image with a slight rotation and crop, hopefully this will be sufficient until a better image becomes available.
