Themes have been selected and I have set up the challenge for our
2023 Mythic/Fairy Tale Themed Challenge.

In the next few days or weeks I will set a new folder with a thread where we can both list what we intend to read as well as our progress! As well I’ll set up individual threads for each theme!

Hi everyone! I was starting to think what to read for the challenge... I could try 2 per category think time, but I am not sure about "celestial lore" and "plant lore"... Would Heart of the Sun Warrior count as celestial lore? Any suggestions for "plant lore"? :)

Heart of the Sun Warrior would definitely count as celestial lore. Some other good options for celestial are [book:Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar and In the Night Garden by Catherynne M. Valente. I'm sure I have more, too!

For Plant Lore, a recentish book I enjoyed is This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron. Juniper & Thorn and The Book of Gothel had plant lore too.

Soon, Jalilah and I will set up threads so we can give book recs for each category. I will try to get started doing that tonight!

I was just going to do that now! I think it’s still the case that goodreads won’t allow you to set up more than a few threads at a time, so it might take a while!
