i was soooo underwhelmed by iswu :( i feel like nothing happened in it at all and i don’t really see the point in it hahah ?? like 20% of the book was material from the letters to ellen from iewu , i was so confused 😭 however i loved josh and theo , they’re basically what kept me reading but yeh really really underwhelmed 🫣😭🙊x
I dont know why people are haring on it! I feel like we got exactly what we asked for. IEWU was so heavy and so it was so nice to read a light ending!! 😭 I’m so surprised by the amount of people who hate it! Didn’t we want fluff?😭😭😭
I’m so glad this book didn’t break my heart as much IEWU did. After finishing the book, and reading other people’s reviews I’m come to terms that this book didn’t really have to exists, but im very glad it did. Im a big IEWU fan and I won’t lie and say that I wasn’t curious about lily and atlas story and what would happen if it continued. I just really thought ISWU was very adorable, im glad they got there happy endings :)
I highly recommend the review by "mynameismarines" from TikTok. It's is a very good one and sum up all the thoughts, that you may can't define. I personally don't like CoHo and find her and her books very problematic. And I wouldn't support her personally. The review is, in my opinion, professional and she talks very calm.

I don’t think it was necessary, but I really enjoyed it anyway because I love Atlas and I enjoyed reading from his POV and getting know more about him. I enjoyed that it wasn’t as heavy as It Ends with Us and loved all the cute moments between Lily and Atlas. It writing itself it’s the greatest but still an enjoyable quick read
There was no suspense, no plot, and it was just extremely unnecessary. There was just so many opportunities for it to be an amazing book, and none of them were taken. Like it genuinely upset me :((
I honestly loved it starts with us
I 100% don’t think the sequel was necessary, I actually quite liked the open ending for Lily and Atlas. I loved Josh and the other kid, I already forgot his name, so they honestly made it worth reading. It was an overall good book but I could’ve lived without it
I liked that Atlas and Lily got their happy ending and they're one of my favourite book couples, but I was expecting a lot more drama from Atlas's mom and Ryle. I think that not much happened in the book other than that we got some insights into Atlas's past. While It Ends with Us is my favourite CoHo book and was very touching, I'm not so sure about this one.
What are your thoughts? Do you think that a sequel was necessary?
