Change in ratings and reviews following combination of editions

I combined duplicate editions of a book at an authors request but she has noticed her ratings and reviews have gone down as a result.


Her query: I appreciate that! I was wondering if something occurred though, I seem to be missing like 15 reviews and ratings. I was at 92 or 93 ratings and like 44 reviews. I now have 82 ratings and 34 reviews.

I suggested it may have been due to duplicated reviews posted on each edition but she doesn't believe there was duplicated reviews. Can anyone help explain why else this would happen please??

Not really something for here, but it could of been due to it working on combining the editions. The review counts can take awhile to update due to caching. I would check again and see if it has worked out.
