Nik Krasno | 19850 comments While I encourage members to refrain from using swear words, allowing for possible presence of minors in the group, I'm assuming (basing on a foreign tongue) those are just vulgar synonyms of genitals and coitus, while words like shit or sob or without "so" and others, vulgar as they are, aren't curses. I guess some clarification can help?

Ian Miller | 1857 comments I support your approach. Amongst other things, this is a debating platform and anyone who cannot make a point without using profanity still cannot make a point.

There are some arguments which require vulgar language, for instance this one by George Carlin.

What seems to be problems are unrelenting abuse and general salty language.

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Thanks for endorsement. Maybe detrimental to arguments, they can be helpful in expressing emotions, but that discipline might not be familiar to some ;)
Btw, it’s a genuine question, for as a non native speaker, I might be unaware of distinctions, especially per different locations
