Yeah that one had my blood boiling! Liked it a lot as well, and especially Mavis sticking up for what she believes.

Just finished #48 Connections--so this was like an (view spoiler)

I also really love when we get little tidbits of the "history" of this alternate slight future... major protests with celebrity participants is a safe bet...

I do agree with yalls thoughts about Payback in Death being not as good for some reason.. Sometimes (view spoiler)

Congrats! :)

And yes, it's the year long holiday achievements meta-achievement... some of the worst holiday achievements were excluded, like spending a whole year doing the Brewfest Brew Club Brews that come in the mail...

I got that achievement when I play WoW!!!

I had everything but School of Hard Knocks until they excluded that, and I finally got the achieve... reminds me I need to log in and open the presents...
Okay, I have five days left and eight books. I can totally do this.

Not going to get the other four done in 5 hours though, LOL, so not crossing the finish line tonight. Will have to try to cram them in next month with the crowd.
Favorite of that group so far has been #52 Faithless. I always like it when the title is interpreted in interesting ways, and was surprised when it started off as one interpretation and then took a corner into another. Also, the premise is probably my own personal nightmare, so it was so very satisfying to see Eve take those bastards down.

I think this will go on indefinitely! LOL
I have the next one slated as a BR.

You can do it Monika!"
I'm all caught up. I added Random in Death (#58) to my Buddy Reading list for 29 January 2024 - the Monday after it is scheduled to be released.

Ohh I didn't know there was going to be another so soon!

Her publication schedule is twice a year - January and, I believe, September.

Part of me wants to wait for Monika and just keep them safe until I need them. ^^

Although I did catch up here and look forward to the release this month!

It's hard to think of another main-ish character that gets put through the ringer the same way Morris did here... most characters/relationships feel pretty safe and locked in, in this series...
