Hello, Lauren! Good luck with your first climb!
Hello, Lauren! Good luck with your first climb!

My first year doing this challenge and I am very excited for it. My goal for 2023 is to read as many of my physical TBR books as possible, many have been on my shelves for WAY too long. I am trying to not add more books to the collection, which is virtually impossible for me. I also get super distracted with Libby books and library books and audiobooks etc :-) Really, I can never have too many books but I don't have enough shelves for them all. My goal is to reach Mt. Kilimanjaro, but hoping to make it past that as well. I look forward to seeing what everyone is reading. Happy climbing!!!!

I am Sam and this is my ninth hike! While my physical tbr has dwindled considerably (not least thanks to this challenge!), my endgame is to read the rest of it and also reread some books I have owned for ages but only read once. Maybe some of those reads don't stand the test of time and I can finally let them go. I started the year off with Breakfast at Tiffany's, and while it is undeniably a linguistic feast, I'm no longer sure I need to own a copy. Come visit me for a chat :)

My name is Ashley and I'm super excited to have found this group - I own enough books for a Mt Olympus-sized climb but I always intersperse them with plenty of library books and new releases, so I'll be aiming for Kilimanjaro for this first excursion. Would love to get higher if I can!

I do things slightly differently though. I count every one of my books that I read as a step up the mountain, but I count every book I buy as a step down (so I could end up pot holing, not climbing!) I am aiming to read three books for every book I buy.
Good luck everyone

Jennifer from Florida here, RN and cat mom. I’m back I think for the 3rd or 4th time. I’m a bookaholic but I don’t need any help, I love it. I have at least 1500 unread books between my kindle and bookshelves. I have a stack of 20 books ready to start but soooo many others to choose from.
Hoping for a happy reading year. Happy Reading!
Shelly wrote: "I’m back! However, I’m getting a slow start to 2023"
Welcome back, Shelly! I'm also starting off a little slower this year. Hopefully, we'll both find our climbing feet soon.

Hi, Jennifer! Welcome back!

I suppose I could count them and go straight for the highest but as I know someone from Wycheproof I prefer to start there ;)
And as I got here way too late to stake a claim, I’ll take a leaf out of Pamela 2’s book and label my climbs with The Other Dani :)
