Hi everyone! I'm Priscilla, this is my first time trying the challenge, and I'm still defining my goal since I'm also participating in the virtual version (and kind of scared, actually), but I'm excited to be here!

Hello everyone! I'm Chelle and I'm back for another year.I finished Mount Blanc and 2 up the next mountain in 2022. I read over 60 books in total, but many of them were 2022 releases or bought in 22.
I'm hoping to get into my backlog in 23.
Hi! This will be my first year climbing. I reorganized my apartment with enough bookshelves to meet my shelving needs. I have about 5000 books and a good number of those remain lonely and unread. Here's to getting to El Toro! One of my goals this year is that at least half the books on my read list for the year be from my shelves.

Welcome to the climbing crew, Ashley! I'm still working on getting enough shelves for all of my books...
Hi everyone! I'm back again for my sixth (!) year trying to climb up the various mountains of the challenge. This year, I have a whopping 60 physical books (about 30 novels and 30 manga), 150 or so ebooks (approx. 30 novels and 120 manga), and 2 audiobooks. I don't think I've ever had so many books before! I'll be starting on Mt. Wychproof and slowly making my way up, hopefully to at least Mt. Vancouver. Good luck to you all with your TBR journeys!

Hi, this is my first year, and with just over 100 books on my physical TBR, I am going to start small and go with Mt Vancouver (36 books). Excited to get started!

Hi everyone. I have been wanting to get back into this challenge for a long while now. I used to do it on my old blog, years ago. I would love to do 150+ but I will be starting small, just in case. I read a lot but can be easily distracted by new books or acquiring other books from wishlists/library. Fingers crossed this pushes me to read more books I own, which is over 10,000 (including ebooks/physical both), roughly 8000 of which is unread still. I have a serious buying problem lol! Of course it doesn't help that all my family gives me any/all books they have read after they finish and suddenly I want to read those too!

Hello! I'm Pınar and this is my first time here. I have more or less 60 tbr books on my shelf and I think it would be realistic for me to climb Mount Blanc with 24 books. Thank you for this group and good luck, everyone! See you on the way...

I’m Julie and this will be my second climb. I only made it a little of half way up Mt. Ararat because I can’t stop checking out library books. This year I’m going to try to stick with alternating between a library book and one that I own. I’m also going to go down to Mt. Vancouver and see if that helps.

  Welcome back, Christy!
Hi! I'm Sheri. Variety is the spice of life, so after having successfully conquered Mt. Olympus in 2022, I am starting with Mt. Blanc. I am also doing the virtual challenge this year, and starting modestly over there too. My personal challenge for 2023 is to use the collections I have on my Kindle to make up some Bingo-style cards, and to see how many cards I can fill by reading books from different collections. I will use the same "collections" to categorize the physical books I read. One of the collections is dedicated to books borrowed from Kindle Unlimited; thus the participation also in the virtual challenge (plus I have a wish list on Amazon where I put Kindle Unlimited titles that look interesting).

Hi, I'm Kaz. I am hoping to seriously decrease my TBR as after I rediscovered my love for reading I have ended up at over 200 books on my TBR between my physical, kindle and audio books. I'm hoping to put a dent in these and not add to it over the course of the year. I am however playing it safe and going for Mount Blanc for my first attempt at this.

Hi, I'm Robin and participated on Bev's blog but just found out about this group here on goodreads. Yay! I'm heading for Mt. Ararat in hopes I'll reach Mt. Kilimanjaro. I decided a buying ban is in order until I whittle down a few books from the stacks. Looking forward to climbing Mt TBR with you all. Thanks for hosting, Bev.
Hi! Thank you Bev for hosting the Mount TBR Challenge. My name is Amy and I can hardly believe this will be my seventh year of climbing. I almost made it to the top of Mt Ararat in 2022, so I'm going to start there and see what 2023 brings. See you all on the mountain.
Hello - I'm Sheila and I'm a..... bookaholic???! :-)I've no idea how many times I've been climbing, but I do know I overstretched myself last year, so going to have a more leisurely stroll this time up Mount Ararat.
Hope to see you all along the way.
Hello, everyone! I still don't read as much as 90% of you, but I'm trying to get there. This year I'll be starting at Mt. Wycheproof as I find easier to go from there to Pike's Peak after completing it. This will be my second year participating and I'm not going to pretend I will only read from my tbr and I'm easily influenced and always reading new things. The only thing I want for 2023 is to end the year with a smaller tbr than I have now.Good luck everyone and thank you for hosting the challenge, Bev!
Hi, hello, and Yoo-hoo! Yes, I’m back again, chaos on the hoof, and trailing books behind. We all of course wish to reduce our TBRs, we all of course keep buying books through the course of the year. Tsundoku is real! I’m baffled as to how this works with ebooks, but by god…it does.Anyway, I’m starting on El Toro as, again, I want to reduce the stress inherent in trying to get up the big guy….

Hello everyone! Here I am again, trying to tackle the books I've been accumulating for the past years. Aiming for Mount Blanc, and then we'll see :)
Hello everyone I'm Julie Ann I've been participating in the challenge for a few years, didn't know about the goodreads group so just joined. Last year I was trying for El Toro and nearly reached it! This year I'm aiming to climb Mt.Kilimanjaro.

So I said El Toro but it was Mount Everest I got to 80 books. This is my fifth ascent so I'm going to start with an easier climb this year. I also did The virtual climb last year and smashed it, why is it easier to read more library books? Going to concentrate on my owned tbr this year so not going to participate in the Virtual.

I am going for Mount Vancouver again. Sadly, you can't tell I read anything last year by looking at my shelves.

Hi, folks, I’m Susan, and I’d love to read some of the wonderful books I’ve been stashing on my shelves. I’ll also work on listening to my backlogged audiobooks. I’m going to aim at Mount Vancouver this year. Thanks, Bev, for helping me keep afloat on the sea of books each year!

2023 TBR! I'm coming back for more! I have over 70 books on my library "wish list," so this year's goal is to get through 52 books. No list or order this year. Pick up what I can off the list and read away. New books are bound to be added as long as I'm only reading from the list, it will be fine by me.

Hey, I’m Liz! Back for the first time since 2019, when I completed Mount Vancouver. Going for Pike’s Peak this time. :)
