Liana | 33 comments Coraline is the first book I can remember picking up and that started my book journey. But my favorite childhood book was The adventures of corduroy the bear, at least I think that’s what it was called. Ever since, you can’t find me without a book

Karsyn | 611 comments A friend gave me two of her Rainbow Magic books, and those had me in a chokehold. But that was preceded by Magic Treehouse, A to Z Mysteries, and whatever random copies of Barbie and American Girl stories I could get my hands on. Nancy Drew was also one that hooked me, specifically the one with the elephant charm if I remember correctly?

message 126: by Luffy Sempai (new)

Luffy Sempai (luffy79) The Enchanted Wood, by Enid Blyton. The Asterix comic books.
I have nostalgia for book covers published in the early 80s, when I was born. I like to consume art that make me nostalgic for stuff that actually happened before I was a glint in the eye of my father.

I really like that generation of former hippies who would take the world by storm.

message 143: by Evelyn (new)

Evelyn Donna | 7 comments I've been in love with reading since I was little. Around second grade I was into the Humphrey series and goosebumps. When I got to fourth and fifth I was obsessed with the Land of Stories, Fablehaven, Five Kingdoms, Keeper of The Lost Cities, Percy Jackson, Wings of Fire, and Warriors. It's hard to pin point when I fell in love with reading but if I had to say when I really started getting obsessed I would say land of stories. I remember going to the pool with my family and refusing to swim because I wanted to continue reading the books.
