So, I was reading a Bradbury short story collection years ago, and one of the first stories in the book was about this group of either soldiers or rebels or something, who are going to break into a rich man's house and either kill him or burn the house down--something like that. But, he invites them in and is so pleasant that they don't actually hurt him (I think they forget why they came). In the end, I believe he even sends them away with gifts, like paintings or sketches or something.

Thanks in advance!
