We learn about Evan’s missions through the call to 1-855-2NOWHERE by Morena Aguilar, asking for help. He takes extreme cautionary measures to research Morena and prepare to rescue her from her tormentor. What opinions did you form about him, his “missions” and the outcome in this moment?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Evan is smart in the way he tackles each mission. He isn't going to go into this blind in case he has been set up. He wants to know more about the person calling before he meets them. He also wants to pick the place they meet or at least have time to scout out the area.

His mission is to help the helpless. It reminds me of the TV show "Angel".

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I found it fascinating 'watching'(listening) to all he did to make sure he knew what he was getting into before he ever meets a 'client'. What does it say about me that I loved listening to this book. Loved all the action. Narrator was fabulous, too.

Reminded my of watching The Equalizer

Yes! All that research and advance work does remind me of Equalizer but even more disciplined. I learned a lot about Evan from all of it, which I also found fascinating.

At the end, I loved what he was about, even though I was conflicted about the murder.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I saw him, with his rules of engagement, trying to be as human to do "justice," but not to become a raging vigilante.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments For me, it was a little bit Equalizer with a dash of Mission Impossible. I loved it. Watching him prep is enlightening. From the beginning, we know he is very deliberate with his movements.
