Chapter 1-4
(view spoiler)[ I already predicting somethings. Dancer mom looks to have secrets about Dancer and Han which I have a feeling Han going to look for his own answers that's going to get him in trouble. What's up with the sliver cuffs? Hmm of course his mom won't tell it's another secret us readers will have to find out with Han lol.
I see a love triangle in the near future Raisa and Micah....Raisa and the captain son Amon.
Even though I'm on the urge of predicting somethings. I'm still interested in how this story going to play out. I like that there's a Queen no King. I also like how the Wizards are like nobles in this world. Don't see that often. Interesting. (hide spoiler)]

Started a day early since my book needs to be back at the library in four days and I did not know how fast I was going to get through it.

Chapter 7
I borrowed this book around five weeks ago and I just didn't get to it. Always a book I wanted to read more or I just didn't feel like it. I forced myself to pick it up today since it has to go back to the library in four days, and you know what: So far I am loving it!

(view spoiler)[ I feel like these type of books always have a forbidden romance in them, I wasn't suprised when we got introduced to the tall and handsome Amon. The moment they mentioned Amon I felt like I found the hidden romance part of this book, and that is probably right. I wonder if they are really going to fall in love or that Raisha needed a friend so badly that this was her way to keep him with her. Or maybe it was just a mistake? I wonder how their friendship/relationship will evolve from this point. Btw, I do agree with Amon, this secret passage is kinda dangerous. If you can get out, other people can get in. And for a princess, that is not something you want.

Also, I don't like Micah. I feel like he is going to bring a lot of trouble. I mean, I am 7 chapters in and he has already done multiple things that annoy me. Starting a forestfire, leaving a lady waiting, lie to everyone, stealing a locket, loosing a locket he stole, touching Raisha against her will, hurting Raisha and being a egocentric, horrible person. But just as a forbidden romance, books also need a villain. Voila, we got one! I hope no one is going to force Raisha to start courting him, but I am afraid somehow that might happen. Or maybe he is going to make Amon his life a living hell? Idk!

I do really like Han, taking care of his family in every way he can. I wonder what he is going to do with the locket. (Apart from hiding it). (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Basically the most important thing happening in these last chapters were the two main characters meeting! (Princess Raisa and Han). I wonder if this is also going to be a romantic relationship, who knows? Weird traingle thingy with Amon, Raisa and Han. We'll see!

Also, even though Raisa is really cool for freeing these people and standing up against Gillian, she is also very darn stupid. She could have gotten herself killed so easily, so so so easily. Just walking in there without a good plan is just plain stupid. I hope she is going to make some more smart moves going on from here!

I had challenges that I needed to get books read for and I got behind. I was doing so good then out of nowhere I was behind.

I kinda felt like his bracelets had something to do with magic, and it turns out they block his magic abilities. And also, he is bloodrelated to the demon king! Which also was not a suprise but still pretty cool.

I really hate that Mari and his Mom got killed in the fire, I just adored little Mari and was hoping she would become important in the book. But I guess not! Also, good thing Raisa escaped, her mother tried to marry her off to Micah! That is so creepy, I am proud of her that she got out and escaped. I hope she is able to stay off the radar for long enough! They cannot find her!

Chapters 1-5
I took me three times of rereading the first chapter for me to really get into this book. It wasn't that it was bad because it wasn't. I was in kind of a slump and didn't really know what I wanted to read. I had bought a ton of books and I hate that feeling of being so overwhelmed by not knowing what to pick up next. My fault for buying to many books. The third times the charm because I finally read this and the characters all stuck with me and what was happening.

I thought that Micah, Arkeda, and Miphis were arrogant jerks for setting fires to drive the deer down towards the princess's hunting party. I don't know Dancer that much yet but was really happy he told them off for doing that. Here is a guess I'm making that may be way off base. Micah called Dancer by a name "Hayden" like he knew who Dancer was. I wonder if Micah is Dancers brother and the head wizard is his dad? No spoilers that is just where my head went first or that Hans is some relation to them. I hope that Princess Raisa becomes a badass female main character and stands up for those in the clans. The wizards remind me of an upper class and the clans are the lower class with little of the comforts the wizards and the Queen has.

I'm really interested in this book now and even though I'm only on chapter 5 I can't wait to see where this book takes us. I predict that Dancer and Hans has some kind of wizard powers in them and if they were to touch the amulet I bet nothing would happen to them. Micah said that they couldn't touch it if they didn't have powers/magic or the amulet would incinerate them. I wonder if they try and find that they didn't burn up. Meaning they have some wizard magic in them and why or how? (hide spoiler)]
