Am I the only one who did not like "Better than the movies" all that much??

While I do admit this book is a fun read, I feel like it is a bit overhyped!!!

I felt like the book was rushed towards the end and I found the chemistry between Wes and Liz to be a bit off in the end too, they occured to be friends more than romantic interests of each other. I also found Liz a tad bit annoying but the book did had a cute banter thing going on between those two, a near love triangle, fake dating all that!!

If you liked medicore YA novels then I would say give it a try, you may end up liking it.

It was a fun read to be honest but would I re-read this book again? now that is a hard no!!

i agree! i really enjoyed it but i also think it was kind of overhyped. and, like you said, i thought the ending was really rushed too.

maybe the book was a bit too cliche and predictable, but i thought it was a pretty cute romance and it was a very fun read :)

I agree with what's been said! I also feel Wes is a great character, but he did 95% of the lifting for this and that was frustrating, lol... I felt these two needed way more time to work out their stuff and Liz is extremely lucky that she's got so many people who care and support her. I can sympathize with her, but I didn't like how she treated the closest people in her life and felt she needed more character growth.

Definitely had a a very fun rom com movie pace and cute moments though!

i agree w everything that's been said. it was a good book but i wouldn't read again. it wasn't a total no but i didn't like the main character at a lot of times. i honestly mainly continued to read it for wes haha but it wasn't necessarily bad.

I Haven't read Better than the Movies yet, but I read Better than Before and it was bad enough that I decided not to continue.

I read it recently and it was mid 💀 in the beginning I thought Liz was so relatable but eventually she was just over the top annoying

wes and liz were cute together but honestly he was too good for her. liz's lying is such an ick.

i probably wouldn't read it again but i didn't hate it.
