Kristine | 284 comments I just finished The Genius of Judy How Judy Blume Rewrote Childhood for All of Us by Rachelle Bergstein , The Genius of Judy: How Judy Blume Rewrote Childhood for All of Us, Rachelle Bergstein

I really enjoyed it. I think listening on Audio 🎧 when my broken foot was keeping me awake, made me absorb the meaning of Judy’s books. Related again to the book Deenie. She had scoliosis and had to wear a brace. Disliking my heavy boot this summer since clunky, made me remember how difficult adolescence was then. Judy Blume did have a special Genius in making girls understand their bodies and sexuality in a way as a young reader I took for granted. It was BOLD though. Love, 💕 Judy
