Ashby Dodd (ashbydodd) | 32 comments It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover - my first Colleen Hoover and in truth, I think I'm too much of a cynic for this author. I wasn't really a fan.

Terre Lefler | 1 comments I recently finished Tom Lake by Ann Patchett and The Ride of Her Life by Elizabeth Letts. I thought Tom Lake was interesting, but never hooked me into the character so I ended up forcing myself to finish it out of stubbornness and commitment. However, The Rider of Her Life was so fun to read, that I kept coming back to find out what new adventure Anne would encounter on her way to California from Maine! I have a new name for a dog now too.

Pamela Statz (pamelastatz) | 3 comments Bookreader3 wrote: "Did you like it?? Why or why not??" I just read Zero Days by Ruth Ware and really enjoyed it. The rational for the narrator's particular set of skills is perfection, and the book had me turning pages and staying up way too late. I definitely recommend.

message 1327: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Keeme | 7 comments Dropseed: The Story of Three Sad Women. I loved this book because it 'met me where I am.' I am caring for my elderly mother and this book hits home with the caregiver stress and the love between mother and daughter. I also loved the way it was written...so lyrical.

Kristine | 284 comments I just finished What We Remember by Sarah Echavarre , What We Remember Sarah Echavarre I thought this was an excellent book on grief, connecting with people, and included on older woman with dementia who had a lot still to offer

On Audio just finished: Long Island by Colm Tóibín , Long Island, Colm Tóibín This was the sequel to his beloved book Brooklyn. I could not connect to the characters, especially Eilis. People so reserved they will not even discuss major events for their lives. Sad and dour book. Disappointing.
