The last book I read was "Sons and Lovers" by D.H. Lawrence.....it was a lovely book i felt, it was a little monotonous in some places,, but the reading experience turned out to be good
I just finished "Mrs. Quinn's Rise to Fame" is an enjoyable novel. I took a break from reading several heavy-themed books and selected this. Mrs. Quinn is a woman in her 70's who was selected to compete on a cooking show. Of course, there were other sub-plots woven into this book. Witty, relationship oriented and full of unexpected happenings. Loved this book. Easy to read. Complicated characters with a past that intertwined the present. I fell in love with the characters. Loved the ending! Highly recommend!
The Bee Sting, and I loved it for all the reasons I love books; I was lost in the story, and I empathized with the characters, in this case, the 4 protagonists and more. It kept me on the edge of my seat, filled with so many bad decisions and tragedies, yet I remained hopeful, or there was always a way to see hope and see the light in general, if not for the character. It was my first Paul Murray book, and I'll be reading more. He's a master storyteller and writer. The Bee Sting is a great read about family and small-town life, told with humor, tension, and a deep understanding of human nature.
'The room on the roof' by Ruskin Bond. I dnfd it twice before finally picking it up and read it all the way through. Loved it. A very profound, emotional book that seems very shallow at the start, but the impact it leaves is anything but. The protagonist isn't written in a way that is likable or pleasant, but rather in the raw, genuine way that teenagers actually are.
I just finished The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon and The Collected Regrets of Clover by Mikki Brammer. Both were AMAZING!!

I just wanted to share with you how much I'm loving the book "This Lie Will Kill You" by Chelsea Pitcher! This book is incredible—it's like nothing I've ever read before. It has completely mesmerized me and left a lasting impression on my heart! Without a doubt, it's the best book I've ever encountered. So engaging and uplifting! A MUST READ!

, by Beatriz Williams. I really enjoyed it. Mixes past story set in Egypt, an Adoption, and then Present Day Setting on a Fictional Island off Long Island. Liked the Characters.
The last book I read was The School Run by Ali Lowe, it is very desperate housewives like with twists, turns, & scandals. I absolutely loved it, it's a new 2024 novel too.
We Should All Be Feminists, by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.I really enjoyed reading it. Not only I find it very relatable but it is also nice to read a POV from someone else in relatable experiences.
Very well written and easy to read. Love...love...
I’ve been into thrillers lately. Read
,
, and
by Freida McFadden. Fun and Fast Paced Reading, just turn the pages and don’t think too deeply about the plot. Overall, enjoyed these books. Then last one was
, Ella Berman. A Mystery about the death of a friend set in Greece 10 years prior. Then the two remaining friends Ella and Joni are back together in another complex situation. Really, a character study on what draws us to people and what could be toxic. Intriguing Book.
