Taryn | 7 comments Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers this was a smart funny read. It was like a modern take on the 80s TV series Murder She Wrote. The book is set in Chinatown in San Francisco and the lead is bold and endearing.

Deirdre Hackeling | 3 comments Very much enjoyed "Salt to the Sea" by Ruta Sepetys. (wonderful format)

The story unfolds through the eyes of a group of diverse characters, who pull together as they journey to evacuation ships along the Baltic Sea, during WWII, where we witness the deadliest, and seemingly forgotten, maritime disaster in history.

Jeremy | 1 comments The Power of Pegasus, a debut novel by Milush Black.

I recently broke up with my narcissistic girlfriend. Therefore, I looked for inspiration on TikTok and saw a review of "The Power of Pegasus," which was very promising.

"The Power of Pegasus" is one of the best books I ever read. It has an incredible opening, great character introduction, great character development, so many plot twists and an incredible ending. It's simple written, but that makes the story easy to follow. Milush Black comes straight to the point.

Sophie, is trapped in a nightmare once she comes to the realisation, that Mo, the co-worker she rejected has gained control over her phone. It gets even worse for her, when she begins to hear Mo and Brigitta's, Mo's narcissistic girlfriend, in her head. The book makes you ask the question if the trauma of being stalked has caused psychosis, or if Mo and Brigitta really found a way to communicate telepathically.

The book covers some very important topics, such as racism, alcoholism, narcissistic abuse and advanced technologies.

If you want to read a book that is as suspenseful as it is inspirational, then give "The Power of Pegasus" a try.
