I'm guessing Bree didn't want to share her child with James and decided to get rid of him. He didn't seem inclined to attempt to stop using drugs. She thought it would be a convenient time to get rid of him.Questions kept going around in my mind. James dropped off his daughter because he was going out to buy drugs. They proceeded to have an argument. Kelly put Lena to bed, then followed James and killed him. When she got home, Lena was missing.
I think Kelly looked for her around the house, then decided that she'd have to say James hadn't dropped Lena off at all. Then the police would go look for her and she wouldn't have to admit that she'd left the house. I question how she was going to explain Lena being with her if the little girl hadn't wandered off.
I read this at the beginning of the month. Pretty sure I was thinking how can you possibly wait until the police show up to go looking for your missing child ..........what is wrong with you as a Mom??? I would have been freaking out if my child was missing.I remember when my kids were little and I'd take them to a museum. If I didn't have eyesight on them for more than a few minutes - I would freak out. Of course, I have a boy and a girl....rarely wanted to look at the same thing ...........so I was always in motion keeping tabs on them, lol.
Going hours without know where either of them were would have put me right over the edge.

Kelly said that she killed James because he threatened to kill her. I didn’t buy that at all. The fact that she’d leave her 5-year old child alone to go off and kill him was just crazy. Then to not report her as missing because she didn’t want to implicate herself? What mother does that??? I think that there’s money involved with her custody and James threatening to sue for full custody was the trigger. Consider that the child ran away from her.
Melissa, I used to take care of my sister’s two (boy and girl) a lot when they were growing up and I once lost my 3-year old nephew in a department store…for 30 seconds. I still remember the paralyzing panic. How this woman could sit in that house for hours and not look for her child is beyond me.

I agree with all of you. Something was off with Kelly. There is no way that a mother, or even a decent babysitter, wouldn't go crazy with panic. I didn't believe Kelly at all after this.
