Libba Quinn | 4 comments I read this book maybe 2010 but hard to remember. I remember that the title was abnormally long but none of the words. It was a family drama/coming of age story. I think that the main character is a female, and I think it takes place in an urban area (NYC?) I remember that the dad has multiple kids with different moms and the relationships between the kids is part of it. One of the children is intersex and other kids find out, leading to that sibling being murdered (specifically they said the word eviscerated) in an abandoned building. Any ideas?

Rainbowheart | 28688 comments There is a list for Hermaphrodite & Intersex Main Characters, but if this is a side character, your book might not be on it.

How old was the child who was murdered? Did the siblings murder the child?

Libba Quinn | 4 comments Thanks for the list, I’ll check it out!

The siblings did not murder the child, but they were murdered by other children, IIRC in an abandoned apartment building.

Rainbowheart | 28688 comments How old was the child? Was he or she a preteen?

This is such a unique plot point, it's got to be solvable.

Does anything on the Evil Kids list look familiar?

Becca (beccalikesbooks) | 5545 comments No Matter How Much You Promise to Cook or Pay the Rent You Blew It Cauze Bill Bailey Ain't Never Coming Home Again by Edgardo Vega Yunqué looks like a match (and wins a prize for the longest title I've ever seen). Fawn is the intersex child who is murdered.

797 pages, wow, the width matches the length of that title, lol.

Libba Quinn | 4 comments Becca, do you mind to share how in the world you came up with that?

Becca (beccalikesbooks) | 5545 comments Glad to help! I finally found it by searching Google books for "half sister" "eviscerated", so well done for remembering that specific word.
