Hi Romanticbookworm,
I'm really enjoying your picks, I read and adored Spoiler Alert and ended up reading the second book in the series and preordering the third. I'm currently reading and enjoying The Giver of Stars

message 74: by SunnyCAGirl (last edited Nov 17, 2022 10:56AM) (new)

SunnyCAGirl | 90 comments Hello, MountainKat,
I read The Magic of You by Johanna Lindsey and the next one in the series Say You Love Me already this month. The magic of you had a crazy plot, but crazy in the best way- 4 stars. Say You Love Me (not reco'd by you, but next in the series) was 3 stars-- not as creative and I just couldn't suspend disbelief on some of the plot points.

Also, I just finished Surrender by Pamela Clare. This was a full 5 stars...one of the best books I've read in a while. It's the first historical romance that I've ever read that was set on the American Frontier (1750's) and I loved it. Thanks so much for the reco!

Surrender was so good. I also just finished Untamed by Elizabeth Lowell and loved it too. One of the best Medieval's that I've read and pretty unique as compared to my other favorites like Honour's Splendor and A Kingdom of Dreams.

Hi Laurla
Thanks for the wonderful picks! I continued my love of In Death with Connections in Death (In Death, #48) by J.D. Robb - every time I start listening to one I feel like I'm back with friends, lol.
I listened to Cross Her Heart (Bree Taggert, #1) by Melinda Leigh - good beginning to the series.
Meet Me Under the Mistletoe by M. Robinson was a really good anthology after reading most of the books of the Midnight Dynasty series. Fun seeing them at Christmas and put me onto a few that I hadn't read yet.
Dark Reign (The Collector Trilogy, #1) by Amelia Wilde - I read the whole trilogy. Parts weren't really my cuppa but the Morellis are all sorts of f*cked up - so I guess this one made sense in a weird way.
One Hot December (Men at Work, #3) by Tiffany Reisz - was interesting reading one of Tiffany Reisz' earlier works. As I've already read some of The Original Sinners series - this was pretty tame, lol. I did enjoy it.

I'm starting Alone on Earth (Signal Bend, #4) by Susan Fanetti later today and have added both January (Calendar Girl, #1) by Audrey Carlan and In the Dark by Loreth Anne White to my tbr pile as they sound intriguing. Hoping to get to them in Dec or Jan.

The Vampire's Mail Order Bride by Kristen Painter (read in October) 10.27.2022 - Cute!
Happily Never After by Jeaniene Frost (read in October) 10.27.2022 - Enjoying this reread!
In a Badger Way by Shelly Laurenston 11.10.2022 - Love her writing style!
Earls Just Want to Have Fun by Shana Galen 11.12.2022 - Another good one!
Made Mine by Sloane Kennedy and Lucy Lennox 11.17.2022 - Loved this one!
The Secret of Bow Lane by Jennifer Ashley 11.18.2022 - Really liking this series!
The Castle by May Archer 11.27.2022 - Short but sweet!

SunnyCAGirl | 90 comments You are so welcome, LaurLa! I'll have to add those to my TBR too.

I have been meaning to tell you that I actually got to a few more of your October recos in November and enjoyed them. I just finished Love Scenes and found it to be a really cute fun, unexpected depiction of a Hollywood love story.

I also really liked Soulless. It was unlike anything I've ever read before as I had never read a romance with vampires and werewolves. Not to mention the heroine was super unique- in a good way! Thanks for helping me find some new genres within the genre!
