Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen ( Formal Buddy Read Starts 11/1)

The novel follows the three Dashwood sisters as they must move with their widowed mother from the estate on which they grew up, Norland Park. Because Norland is passed down to John, the product of Mr. Dashwood's first marriage, and his young son, the four Dashwood women need to look for a new home. They have the opportunity to rent a modest home, Barton Cottage, on the property of a distant relative, Sir John Middleton. There Elinor and Marianne experience love, romance, and heartbreak. The novel is set in South West England, London, and Sussex, probably between 1792 and 1797

I absolutely love Sense and Sensibility, even more than Pride and Prejudice. I thought the movie adaptation with Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson was superb.

I was so excited when I saw that this is the book your doing. I just started it and am on chapter 11. I am really enjoying it so far! :)

I really like this one partly because the chapters are a bit shorter than some other Jane Austen books. It's a lot easier to read than say Pride and Prejudice.

Oh man... Cleveland? Am I remembering that right? I'm telling you, I struggled with this book... Wait.... London... is it London? 👀👀

I just ... don't know... I'll think about this a bit and come back to it.. maybe review this section a bit, even though I am loathe to read this book again.

I didn't really like any of the characters, honestly...

What would you change about the book?
I just couldn't get into it enough to want to change anything. I guess that's pretty bad. I feel like I didn't even absorb the text... just read the words and they meant nothing.

LOL. I like Sense and Sensibility better than P&P, maybe because of there are not as many characters.

I peeked to see how off I was, and was pleasantly surprised that I got London... and maybe my Cleveland gaff wasn't as off as I thought, I just had the wrong question. It didn't help that I finished the book way before the last set of questions came out...
