R⭐ (rrrrrrrrrr1234567890) | 119 comments Hi everyone. I have a question about the Librarian Manual. Does Goodreads count gifts from pre-order campaigns (e.g. short stories) as valid book records?

I could not find anything about pre-order incentives on the Manual, so that's why I'm asking.

If it is a gift for people who pre-ordered a book, then it does not count as a valid book record. This would be the same category in the manual as "short stories not published on their own."

Thanks! I'm asking for this entry The Phantom of Linkshire Manor, it was a gift for those who pre-ordered another book, but now it has been published separately in digital stores. So I guess it is valid to keep it, especially because of the number of ratings and reviews.

The new Smashwords edition is valid. The one that was only available as part of another purchase has now been marked as Invalid.
