I expected Jones to tell Tracy the whole story once he knew he could trust her. I understood why he was cautious with the police. Weber's involvement was an unexpected twist, even though I knew there was something funny about her micromanaging Tracy.
Yes, this was the outcome Flynt wanted.
I figured that Henderson Jones wouldn't tell Tracy everything until he was sure he could trust her. Putting the story in the paper and not trying to cover up the corruption proved she was trustworthy. At this point I wasn't surprised that Weber was the leak to the task force. Her actions proved she didn't want Tracy pursuing this cold case.
I don’t blame Henderson Jones for making Tracy prove herself. He told the story to Del and Faz 24 years ago and nothing happened.
It bothered me that here was a man trying to change his life who did, raising three wonderful children and following a straight path in an environment that didn’t make it easy, who was falsely accused by the police with no evidence. It took the DA to toss the case but the man lost his job as a result of it. These corrupt cops ruined many lives.
I was blown away when he named Weber. While it answered a lot of questions, it still was shocking.
Yes, this is exactly what Jack Flynt was looking to have happen.

I really loved the Jones plot line in this including his refusal to talk to Tracy until she proved herself. When it all hit the news and Jones contacted her to come see him (loved the cookout) I was shouting yes!! He had no reason to trust the cops. It spoke volumes that Tracy (also Faz & Del this time) kept her word and delivered.
I loved that cookout segment. It was Henderson’s way of giving Tracy the best he had to offer…his family.
