Tracy meets with Del and Faz who tell her the entire story. She gets suspended and Del does, too, after taking her with him to question Moss. They decide to let Anita publish their story, which brings lots of pressure down on the department. Your thoughts about how Tracy was treated and why her suspension wasn’t challenged internally? Did she and Del have any other alternative than the media reporting?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments Tracy's bad treatment always makes me angry. I understand why Nolasco never gets punished. No one in command appears to be above corruption. She is a good investigator and solves cases. I don't know how so many people are blind to her mistreatment.

Tracy and Del did what they had to do. They would have lost their jobs if they depended on this corrupt police department that goes all the way to the top.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was very disappointed that none of the top brass decided to look into the allegations when Anita published the story. It's ridiculous that Internal Affairs wouldn't be investigating this.

I don't think there was any other alternative than to go to a reporter with the story. The police didn't want this being public knowledge.

Tracy essentially was suspended for solving a cold case her boss didn’t want investigated. Here’s she’s received three medals of valor, just closed a case where 14 missing persons were found and saved another person. Why internally this didn’t bother anybody that Weber suspended her tells me the same thing…that blue line is still going strong and even dumber than ever. At least the department attorneys had the sense to advise them that reinstatement was in their best interest.

No, there were no better options for Tracy and Del other than the media. Good for them.

I enjoyed seeing them make the media work FOR them instead of against them for a change. Love that Dugoni took this route. It rings true in so many ways. Someone higher up should have had heads rolling, but everyone seemed so much more concerned about funding than justice. Sad.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I liked seeing them work w/Anita to get the story out there. I really wished something had happened to Weber's job and was surprised this wasn't pursued further.
