Larry Childress contacts the media to cover Lisa/Melissa’s homecoming. Your thoughts about him doing this?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I understood Larry's anger, but I thought that was a low blow to his daughter. I expected that he loved her more than that.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was kind of mad that he would subject Anita and her mother to the media on their first meeting. Maybe he thought Lisa was faking the whole thing.

While I understood why he did it, it was incredibly selfish. At a minimum, he could have warned his daughter. He wasn’t thinking about her at all. They could have agreed upon a joint statement and conference. He ambushed them.

I became less sympathetic in this moment.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments Me too. Once he showed how little he cares about his daughter and his ex-wife's safety, I didn't care as much about Larry.

It’s a shame because there was a time when he was just the opposite.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I agree.

I watched an interview with a man accused of murder. The reporter asked why he didn't point to the other person of interest when the press interviewed him. He said, "I know what it is like to be accused of something I didn't do. There is no way I can put that pain on someone else."

I expected Larry to feel the same and give Lisa time.

Perfect example.

Larry ambushed them all! His thoughts are only for himself and the revenge he thinks he deserves. I didn't like him much in this story especially after this. Yes, he was wronged, but he could have been the feelings of his daughter and former wife before his own if he was half the man he should be. Instead, it all blew up in their faces.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments This totally pissed me off. I understood that he was upset that for so long he was seen as the killer and yes, this made his life/raising his daughter hard. But - he had to have an idea that the killer was still out there. I felt he was only thinking of himself. With his feelings that he didn't really want his daughter to pursue this - I felt like she should have left him out of this and just had Lisa/Melissa meet her and her mom this first time.

Totally this. I didn't like him at all after this.
