Tracy found a very hostile and bitter Larry Childress when she first met with him. Was he entitled? Was there ever a moment when you suspected that maybe he had something to do with her disappearance?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I understood his anger. Regardless of what happens after the initial suggestion of guilt from cops, there will always be people who believe the person is guilty.

I never suspected that he was guilty.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Can you imagine how hard it would be for a person to be accused of murdering their husband/wife? Sure, the police couldn't prove it, but lots of people would drop that person from their life. They wouldn't want to be involved with him or her.

No, I never thought Larry had anything to do with Lisa's disappearance. I think this was mostly because he put the bear spray in her purse before she went out to meet the informant.

Yeah, he was entitled, especially considering he didn’t do it and the detectives casting doubt on his innocence were covering up their own mess. It completely ruined his life.

I remember there was a tiny moment where I stopped to consider if he could have done it and, like Robin, I dismissed it because of that bear spray.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I never suspected the husband. Yes, I felt he was entitled to his anger during his interview with Tracy. My feelings for his entitlement changed with what he did later in the book though.
