(Done) Merging book editions/ two author profiles for one author
date
newest »

We do not merge author names in different languages. Please see: https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/... (See: Authors published in multiple languages)
Authors with books published in multiple languages should have their names dealt with similarly to those with pen names. All editions should have the primary author name as the standard or most common Roman (that is, English-language) version of the author's name. Editions published under another spelling of the name or the name in another language should have that name listed as the secondary author. Different editions of a book not having the same primary author can cause quite a few distinct problems. Please keep the primary author for all editions of a work the same.

Siergiej Sniegow page - https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... doesn't have anything in the 'about' section and there are no mentions of the other names he is known by there. Thanks
No need to repost, but you may wish to move the thread to the Language & Translation Issues folder. Book Issues is also ok though.

Thanks, how do I go about moving a thread to a different folder? I can't seem to find that option 🤔
If you are on the desktop version of the site, there should be small "edit" link right after your thread title.

Done, thank you.

Thanks so much :)
I came across two separate author profiles for the same author and therefore some book editions had been separated.
The author in question is Sergey Snegov, author of Humans as Gods. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
He is also listed as Siergiej Sniegow, for the Polish edition of his books, as the Polish editions changed his name spelling.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... (Ludzie jak bogowie trilogy) Polish version of Humans as Gods. Since the Polish editions list this author's name differently, do you think the editions should still be merged under the Sergey Snegov author page? An interesting book issue to investigate, please let me know what you think, if you decide to look into it or have some thoughts on the matter.
Kind Regards,
